This is possible with a small mod. I've never modded, but I'd like to try it. Look for PlayCraft on the minecraft forums for an example of name changing mods.
Whoever did the sand could you have there be a little more tan colored into there?

It is not possible to use books as fuel. I put a magma bucket in, then put the books there to make it look like I was burning them.

Just put it in a .zip file and place in Texture folder.

OK, so, meant to post this last night, but I forgot, but I worked on the ingots/bricks. I'm not done yet, as the shading could probably use some work, and I haven't made a Gold Ingot yet, but, here they are:

And since you probably can't see them at all, a 500% zoomed version with no transparancy:

The no transparency is because resizing a sprite in Paint.NET just doesn't work and resizing in MS Paint then putting transparency in with Paint.NET takes too long. But anyway, what do you think? I'm not a very experienced sprite artist (I've did some stuff for something else) but in my opinion, it's good. Shading could probably use some work though. And I need to make Gold versions.
