Sounds good, and don't bitch about the graphics, they aren't that bad (go play some Diablo 2, Fallout or just a N64/SNES/PS1/Saturn/whatever game, it'll cure you). Also if it's true that it's highly moddable, high-res skins wouldn't take too long to be released.
This looks and sounds like upgraded Survival Crisis Z.
ITT: Graphic whore's.
actually it doesn't really. We have been champions of MP since...well forever  And this game isn't MP for no other reason than it just doesn't really fit. It's not a shooter. And the combat elements don't really lend themselves to any sort of competitive mode or coop mode since an important portion of the game is building up the base, rigging traps, figuring out things to craft. Fighting is fun but its not the entire core experience as you would find in a L4D style game.
What part of building up a base, rigging traps, defending yourself from zombies etc wouldn't lend itself well to a cooperative multiplayer experience? Granted we don't know about all of the game mechanics and how they're handling this but we can only look at this with the information we have been given and that all implies that multiplayer would work if it had a solid design and implementation along with the time and effort required.
This looks and sounds like upgraded Survival Crisis Z.
Now that you mention it, yes it does. Which in my opinion, it isn't a bad thing.
I sense fail. Though the idea i quite rike.
No MP? What are they thinking?
No MP? What are they thinking?
Apparently the
champions of MP since...well forever
think that
this game isn't MP for no other reason than it just doesn't really fit.
:siren:Bullshit Alarm:siren: I really have absolutely no faith that this game will be any good and no it isn't about the graphics. Probably my cynicism showing here.
Now that you mention it, yes it does. Which in my opinion, it isn't a bad thing.
I agree that you agree. To be honest those screens look bad enough to be magazine scans. [editline]08:15PM[/editline] Having no multiplayer in a game like this means only one thing. MODS
The game still looks like fun no matter how bad the graphics are and if it's even remotely like survival crisis z i will enjoy it
This game looks like gta4 on low graphic settings.. also lol at the blood brush used for their logo. I hate it when i see stuff like that used in "proffessional" work.
This is a beta, so I think they will improve a lot (hopefully) but still it really doesn't look that great for now.
The graphic style, I do not like it.

Lulz we pass controllers because we don't want to play all together at once
ITT: Graphic whore's.
More like people who's eyes function correctly and expect something to look decent these days.
ITT: People who can't play single player games. As stated many times before, it's not meant to be a giant game, it's a small game for playing every now and then, and will be priced accordingly. Maybe if it was a professional $50 game then you could demand multiplayer.
I hope this game is free. If it's not, I'm sticking with Survival Crisis Z.
I hope this game is free. If it's not, I'm sticking with Survival Crisis Z.
It's not free because that would be stupid.
It honestly doesn't look good enough to be something you buy. Hell, I won't be surprised if Zombie Crisis Z is still better than this.
how can you judge the game as a whole from a few screenshots?
Looks pretty cool. The graphics aren't the greatest. We'll just have to wait and see, but chances are this will be mediocre at best.
I hope this game is free. If it's not, I'm sticking with Survival Crisis Z.
SCZ was originally shareware.
The graphics are a mix of shit and decent. The Spas-12 in that one screen looks fine, while the bus looks absolutely hideous. Also, the character models look like they have too much phong, like the Hidden: Source models.
In Fort Zombie you defend a police station, prison, or hospital. You can also run around town killing zombies and getting supplies and stuff to build up your defenses.
About fucking time, I've been waiting forever for a zombie game like that.
Yeah sounds pretty cool but the screens looks really meh.
Doesn't look to appealing. From the description, it sounds like you choose a barricade, and take on "waves" of zombies, along with free roaming and such. It would be fine if this game didn't use preset forts, but allowed you do make temporary bases, and maybe a main base maintained by the survivors chosen/found by you and such. In the end, it still seems arcadey, rather than survival.

I want to be dropped into a middle of a randomly generated town / city area or whatever and have a little bit of time to look for a spot to barricade myself in before killin' me some zombies.
Bump because an interview about it just came out: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2009/09/22/the-dead-talk-fort-zombie-interview/
