I just learned that you shouldn't use beds in the Aether.
I wonder how the official skyworld/dreamworld compares to the Aether because it would be pretty embarrassing to release something that's official and worse than a mod that's been out for a couple of months.

honestly, i don't like the aether's style, it doesn't fit minecraft at all art-wise
I kind of like how the Aether is so different, brings so many weird gameplay aspects to the table. It's like walking into a world entirely different from the norm, immersing yourself in an entirely different experience.
I think, if the Nether was expanded on, and offered atleast almost as many new gameplay mechanics and additions, it'd feel the same too, in the vein of a new experience.
The best part is, if you dislike the styles, you could always stick to the planes you like best.
Looking at this mod really shows how empty the nether is in terms of content.

When I put ShockAhPI into the JAR it blackscreens upon login. I have audiomod and modloader already and they work fine, but when I put shockahpi in it crashes. (I have deleted META-INF)

I was thinking just that. I reckon a perfect addition to the adventure update would be to revamp the nether and add a sky demension, but both being entirely different to the normal land. Although, maybe make a slightly different way to get to each of them, so that they might be more of alternative living areas rather than challenging places you go when you're ready. I would like to see the nether self sufficent, trees grow naturally, ores are there, ext ext. Like how the Aether is now
Are you sure that zeppelin mod works with this? Crashes in startup when I install it. Clean install besides aether and the things you need for it.

I found a Golden Apple just sat there on top of a Golden Oak once. That's the only way I've found one.

Occasionally a gold leaf block will be replaced with a gold leaf with apples.

Also, is it really worth it to do every single bronze dungeon I come by? I feel like if I do enough I'll get some rare reward that won't suck. I mean, fire sword is nice and all but it's durability is shit, and I haven't gotten much of anything else better from it.

Did you know that you can recharge weapons' and tools' durability in the enchanter? Uses ambrosium shards as fuel.
On a side note, fighting through the silver dungeon made me finally realize how boring the "combat" is in Minecraft. I really hope Notch has changed it for the better in 1.8.

I just make bridges out of Aetherdirt. It works, I suppose. Yeah, it is tricky.

It's uncommon, but sometimes golden oak leaves will drop a golden apple. I've only found one.
Also, is it possible for silver dungeons to spawn on peaceful? I'd play on easy/normal if the damned zephyr spawns weren't so obnoxious. Can't concentrate on anything for half a second because there's always airballs hurdling towards me. Always.
just killed the boss of the gold dungeon. Got 2 Nether books, 1 Aether book, and an Obsidian chestplate.
