Most if not all items cap be repaired in the enchanter. Also the pig slayer doesn't have a durability. So all you need are piggies, and a lightning sword/knives if you want cooked porkchops.
That's still BS. What if you are in a dungeon far from base and your item completely runs out, eh? Eh?
That's still BS. What if you are in a dungeon far from base and your item completely runs out, eh? Eh?
Then you hang your head in shame as you were stupid enough to not bring supplies to repair it or extra items to switch to once your durability gets low.
I used one of Equivalent Exchange's destruction catalysts on a wall of a silver dungeon I had not explored yet.
Suddenly, saving chunks.
Yeah, so long as items can be plopped in the enchanter the durability can be as short as they want.
Did you put an Ambrosium Shard in there as fuel too?
Of course

Also the flaming sword is really fragile, i hit one of those blue slime things twice and it took the sword to a quarter health.

Beds Explode in the aether, really now?
That video was well made I gotta say.
I hope the Aerwhales get animations, they look bad just stiffly floating through the sky.

Nah, i like the effect they give when they glide through the air, but maybe it could be changed to where they tilt a bit when they ascend and descend.
Well, if they just gently flapped their fins or some shit I'd be sated.
Sexually.
Question. What do you use to kill the monster chests?
Question. What do you use to kill the monster chests?
I use Zanite Sword.
Was playing this mod for the past few days, it's really fun. I don't really see the fun in returning to my home land anymore, bland, boring.
Mountains are so 2 days ago.
Question. What do you use to kill the monster chests?
My bear hands.
While walking back to my base after having been slaughtered by valkyries I ran into this colorful little bugger

Anyone know of an inventory editor that works with the Aether? My save has been corrupting repeatedly so I need to start again, but I don't want to go through all the rigamarole I had to go through to get there first time around.
I went in to a dungeon with only two pickaxes... of course they both ran out, so now I'm stuck in a room with a giant murderous cube with no way out.

Wait till he glitches and gets stuck in the ground next to the 1 block high platform, then quickly craft a workbench, and if he's still not up, rush another pickaxe of any material you have on you at a time. He'll be up by then.
Happy bosshunting.
5 deaths, 4 suits of zanite armor, 4 stacks of ambrosium, I finally beat the gold boss.
Another tome of lore (which I needed because I lost mine, woo!) and 3 vampire swords (meh.)

I couldn't get any external editors working, but Too Many Items works well and is a little bit balanced as you can't get dungeon gear.
Just beat the Bronze Dungeon, for the first time. The boss was more interesting, mechanically, than I thought it would be. Got a hammer of notch and some lightning knives, the hammer is SO USEFUL in killing those annoying cloud ghasts. Is zanite armor enough to try and take on the silver dungeon when I find it, with a gravitite sword and this hammer?
[editline]25th July 2011[/editline]
Also, do zanite (or any, for that matter) gloves do anything or is it just extra armor? Unarmed damage or something?
Silver dungeons, Wear full zanite armor and a zanite sword or better, carry food in copious quantities.
The boss is much easier than the valkyries to be honest, the extra room in the final room helps fuckloads, but you will need full armor to fight her as well.
Valks do fuckloads of damage and they do it fast, they also teleport, so keep that in mind. I haven't tried a bow and arrows, it might work better than my strategy (back into a corner and attempt to push them back when they come at me)
The boss is all about situational awareness, just make sure you're constantly paying attention.
It took me about 3 sets of zanite armor to beat my first silver dungeon.
EDIT: Gloves give you a little bit of extra armor.
Do poison darts affect enemies in the same way poison affects the player (random movements)?

How big are the rooms? My gravity sword throws enemies into the air, so that could help keep them away from me.
Okay... Now he's stuck?

Welp, perfect for me, anyway.
AWWWW YEEEAAHHHH!
That's how I beat him too. :v:
If any of you get a Hammer of Notch in the bronze dungeon, the silver dungeon should be relatively easy because of it's powerful knockback you can pin the Valkyries in corners.
Does the sun ever set in the aether?

I didn't bring any logs

Only after you defeat the Sun God.

You're screwed.
-ninja'd-
How many pendants do you need to fight the sliver boss? I have 6, been into every room, no angels are spawning.

You need 10, make sure your on easy or higher or they disappear when you hit them.
I want more bronze dungeons.
So far I've found 1 bronze, 3 silver, 2 gold.
Cleared 1 of each. Bronze is definitely the most enjoyable. Gold sucks. Silver is in between.
