Yeah I got that in my first bronze dungeon. The book wasn't given to me on entering the Aether so I have no idea what it was.
What do the Vol. 1 & 2 books do?
I have a ton of baby bird things, do I have to feed them to get them to grow up or something?
So are Valkyries the only thing in the Silver Dungeons that can pose a threat besides Mimics?
What do the Vol. 1 & 2 books do?
They are books about the Nether and the regular Minecraft land, accordingly. [editline]25th July 2011[/editline]
I have a ton of baby bird things, do I have to feed them to get them to grow up or something?
Yeah, you need to feed them the stuff that comes out of the poison plants. [editline]25th July 2011[/editline]
So are Valkyries the only thing in the Silver Dungeons that can pose a threat besides Mimics?
From what I know, yeah.
What the hell are those?
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/495553-173-kodas-clay-soldier-mod-v1/ [editline]a[/editline]
So I killed ten Valkyries and beat the Queen Valkyrie but when I killed her I died as well, meaning that the shit I had and everything is locked in there forever. :suicide:
When you die the room reopens. When she dies the room reopens. I think you can just waltz in and pick up your stuff/her treasure.
From what I know, yeah.
And aren't Valkyries neutral? So I'll only have to deal with Mimics and the Boss?
And aren't Valkyries neutral? So I'll only have to deal with Mimics and the Boss?
Nope. In order to fight the boss, you have to show him 10 victory medals (that the regular Valkyries drop). Thought this was going to be easy didn't ya?
And aren't Valkyries neutral? So I'll only have to deal with Mimics and the Boss?
You need to kill ten Valkyries to get the boss to even consider fighting you.
Nope. In order to fight the boss, you have to show him 10 victory medals (that the regular Valkyries drop). Thought this was going to be easy didn't ya?
God damn it. Looks like I'll have to put my Palace expedition on hold.
And aren't Valkyries neutral? So I'll only have to deal with Mimics and the Boss?
You have to kill the Valkyries first- you need the medals they carry. Ah, ninja'd.
Nope. In order to fight the boss, you have to show him 10 victory medals (that the regular Valkyries drop). Thought this was going to be easy didn't ya?
Methinks this is going to need some precision demolition (read: TNT in every possible gap).
God damn it. Looks like I'll have to put my Palace expedition on hold.
Get good armor, a good sword and food, preferably stackable one. The Valkyries won't hurt you much if you're wearing good armor, but the final boss kick your ass in 4-5 hits even with armor. Remember, you can eat ambrosium shards in case you run out of food. [editline]25th July 2011[/editline]
Methinks this is going to need some precision demolition (read: TNT in every possible gap).
The motherfuckers teleport, so using that method will probably require a lot of attempts. Besides, can you even blow up TNT in the aether?
Is it just me or does the silver dungeon end at floor 3? I have 6 rooms there, everything else is blocked.
Is it just me or does the silver dungeon end at floor 3? I have 6 rooms there, everything else is blocked.
From what I've seen the Silver Dungeon has three floors, and the third floor has another staircase leading down two floors to the bosses room.
If you mean Gravitite armor, forget it. I can't find any of that.
Diamond or Zanite armor (or both) will do fine. By the way, I heard that you can actually find obsidian armor at Gold dungeons, and that it has amazing durability and protection.
Yeah, if you get phoenix armor and dip it in water it becomes obsidian. Y'know, this mod really reminds me of the floating sky island levels from the original Unreal. It's cool and nostalgic
Yeah, if you get phoenix armor and dip it in water it becomes obsidian.
Oh, so this is the "secret" the book of lore describes.
I guess.
Impossible to get 10 victory medals. After I get a couple, another one spawns, so I try to kill it, and it just kills me in one hit, even though I was wearing armor.
Impossible to get 10 victory medals. After I get a couple, another one spawns, so I try to kill it, and it just kills me in one hit, even though I was wearing armor.
What the What was the state of your armor and what was it made of?
It was the iron/purple stuff mix. Chestplate and helmet iron, everything else purple stuff. Also, purple stuff rings and necklace.
I wish there was more variety in the Aether. It's all just hills and trees floating around. There should be biomes like in the overworld, where you have like floating icebergs, floating deserts, floating volcanoes(!), etc. And giant floating masses of water would be neat.
It was the iron/purple stuff mix. Chestplate and helmet iron, everything else purple stuff. Also, purple stuff rings and necklace.
Probably a bug, Regular Valkyries can't 1 hit you.
Or perhaps something more alien, and not just floating versions of the usual minecraft biomes. Like gigantic, and I mean fucking colossal trees with intricate branching and leaf designs, enormous willows that reach the map height limit, or storm clouds with dangerous electrical activity hovering over islands and through cave systems. The Aether is a creative blank slate.
What exactly are the ambrosium shards for?
colossal
Yes, thank you.
What exactly are the ambrosium shards for?
Torches. Regular torches don't work in the aether. You can also eat them and get health. You use ambrosium torches for incubators. That's all the uses I know.
Yes, thank you.
What
