What
Colossal. It's in his name.
Colossal. It's in his name.
Oh fucking wow. I really need to look at people's fucking names some time, jesus.
Time to enjoy another nice day in the Aethe- WHAT THE

You can't tell in the pictures, but this guy is spazzing like there's no tomorrow.
It's times like those when I have a hard time deciding if the dev team should fix Aerwhales hitting land, because it's fucking hilarious some times.
It's times like those when I have a hard time deciding if the dev team should fix Aerwhales hitting land, because it's fucking hilarious some times.
Or at least make them try to get unstuck. I mean seriously,

These guys have been stuck there since I first entered the Aether. [editline]July 25 2011[/editline]

And this guy would put raving as a whole to shame. I wish I could make gif's to show how hilarious these are.
You can't tell in the pictures, but this guy is spazzing like there's no tomorrow.
Yeah, they're a bit derpy at times.
Yeah, they're a bit derpy at times.
Derpy? When my whales hit land, they immediately go full retard. Period. No questions asked. [editline]July 25 2011[/editline]

Get off my cloud
Or perhaps something more alien, and not just floating versions of the usual minecraft biomes. Like gigantic, and I mean fucking colossal trees with intricate branching and leaf designs, enormous willows that reach the map height limit, or storm clouds with dangerous electrical activity hovering over islands and through cave systems. The Aether is a creative blank slate.
Or black clouds that serve as huge floating cave networks, and shift around a bit while your inside them AvP style. The trees could house huge dungeons or villages inside them.
Torches. Regular torches don't work in the aether. You can also eat them and get health. You use ambrosium torches for incubators. That's all the uses I know.
You can also repair Aether tools in the Enchanter with them. Just hauled ass through 3 bronze dungeons. They all kind of overlapped. One boss tore his way through the other two, somehow missing the boss chambers by mere blocks. Though as he generated over a hallway I didn't get a fucking reward. [editline]25th July 2011[/editline] Oh god the Hammer of Notch is surprisingly good. Burning fools every damn day of the year. So I have a Phoenix Bow, Flaming Sword and the Hammer of Notch. I AM THE GOD OF HELLFIRE!
Cool, my portal spawned.. Here. As soon as I entered the Aether for the first time I look and see islands.. The closest land about 50 blocks away :V [editline]25th July 2011[/editline] Also, literally about 20 of those Aether ghast things. Whatever they're called.

I'm not getting the book on entering the Aether anymore, why is this?
Or black clouds that serve as huge floating cave networks, and shift around a bit while your inside them AvP style. Man, this has started getting me to think about all the cool shit that could be down in the Nether. Like Creeper Nests or some shit. Creepers should most definitely come from the Nether.
so i found a massive building with winged girls in it, is this the silver dungeon, because they won't fight me
What do you do with gold sweats?
My first trip to Aether, and my teleport spawns on a silver dungeon.
so i found a massive building with winged girls in it, is this the silver dungeon, because they won't fight me
Yes, kill 10 and then you can fight the boss.
I believe I can speak for everyone when I say: I hate Zephyrs. Building a bridge from one island to another, count on one to get lucky with a shot and push you off your bridge. Or if you're on the side of an island, digging Zanite, one of them will push you backwards off the edge. Pretty much anytime they're around they'll be annoying. And it's a pain to kill them, since they play keep away most of the time. Best way to kill them is by using the Hammer of Notch on them.
Yeah they need to be reaaalllyy less common, rare actually. They are just way too difficult to deal with.
And this guy would put raving as a whole to shame. It brightens the Aether up for me though, I'm still getting fucked over by overpopulated Zephyrs, even after the supposed fix.

Made the complete Gravivite armor set. BOING BOING BOING BOING BOING BOING
soooo cllloooooosssssse

Oh,is that another rave whale? Luckily, I had a chute, but DAMN I was mad.

Made it to the temple! I'm just going to chill with the Queen for a while before we get down to business.

And get better armor
i can't find a single bronze dungeon
Just managed to defeat the Sun God, got a life shard and some Phoenix armour pieces.
i can't find a single bronze dungeon
Look for Gravitite. I always find Bronze dungeons when looking for Gravitite. Did I ever mention how much I hate the sentries? [editline]25th July 2011[/editline] Add me to the list of people who found bronze dungeons in other bronze dungeons.

Assuming there is such hypothetical list. Found a bunch of Zanite tools, and another Notch Hammer. Why can't Gravitite hide in chests too? :zoid:
This mod has officially inspired me to start thinking of ways to make the Nether as awesome. I will compose a document of ideas and post them where applicable.
This music fits surprisingly well with Aether exploration... Definitely makes being bombarded by Zephyr balls more enjoyable!
