Wow! I must say, this is one of the best Minecraft mods out there!
Is there anyway to enable the day/ night cycle in the Aether without defeating the Sun God? I checked the .dat files and found nothing.

I'm having problems installing the new version now
I thought I finally had it when I got the mojang logo to appear, but then it went to a dirt-textured background and just locked up
Ok turns out I wasn't giving it enough time. Turns out it's SUPPOSED to act like it's locked up for 45-60 seconds, and THEN it starts working for real
GODDAMN ZEPHYRS WON'T LEAVE ME ALONE FOR TWO FUCKING SECONDS. I gotta figure out how to disable those things
This conflicts with the Zeppelin mod for some reason. I log in and I get an error report, even after 3 fresh installs and retries.
Any help?
Well I THOUGHT I disabled zephyrs and aerwhales from spawning by editing the config file they told me to edit, but they're spawning anyway. I might just have to play on peaceful mode... But then will there still be enemies in dungeons?
Zephyrs are just kind of bad game design really.
There's a difference between enemies that are annoying but tolerable and enemies that just frustrate the player and make them not want to play more.
Zephyrs pretty much either fall straight into the latter category or somewhere way too close to it.
It'd be fine if they were really rare, or if they could only see you at a short range, but instead, every time I go into the aether I'm instantly being bombarded by like 5 of them, and I can NEVER run far enough to escape them, and they NEVER stop pursuing me.
Piece of shit doesn't work. Gonna try with a new install but I doubt it'll work since it's me we're talking about

Good. We all have it for 2 months. This thread was made 2 months ago.
I would really like to play this mod.But i cant.All the mods i have work fine whit the aether but when i build a portal and put water in it it wont work.
I even checked whit too many items if aether works and i can give myself items from the mod.
Anyone know what might have fucked up?
Turns out there are two digits that need to be changed in order to adjust mobs' rareness. Now I can play for real!
And I've got a black moa already. This thing is fucking glorious. I named him Leroy and we flew all over the world.
Does anyone know if it's possible to heal a moa? Mine has taken some damage from a cockatrice, and I don't know what I'd do if it suddenly died while I was out exploring. I've tried feeding it aechor petals and ambrosium, but it doesn't seem to do anything

Nearly a week late reply, but that's causing problems for me. How fix?
Good lord the silver dungeon boss is hard. I went in with full gravitite armor and still got killed (though she only had a sliver of health left when I went back). I would've had her if my healing stones had held out.
Anyone thinking of taking on this boss, I recommend full gravitite armor and at least 30-40 healing stones. Shit's pretty intense. I can't imagine doing it in zanite. Without the extra jumping height you get from gravitite, I think I'd have gotten hit like 300% more often.
Also, protip: Saddled moas can still lay eggs. If you get your hands on a black moa, or even a white one, I advise waiting for it to lay an egg before you take it out. It's definitely good to have a backup in case of unfortunate accidents and/or crashing.
Another protip: Don't try to get on your moa while holding a hammer of notch :v:
The(well-based) complaints about Zephyrs reminds me of a long time ago,I was playing a custom map in the Nether.I literally turned a corner in a tunnel across the Nether and,lo and behold,quite literally 20 or so ghasts awaited me,growling and howling.I promptly switched to peaceful to make them disappear,then switched back.It was kinda funny.
Just discovered a somewhat-good strategy to deal with the silver boss: Build kind of a mini-tunnel somewhere in the room, just big enough for one person to walk through. Then spam hammer of notch out the tunnel's entrance. I was still getting hit by lightning or something quite a bit while hiding in there, but maybe that can be solved by making the tunnel thicker than 1 block. Will have to do more testing.
