I tried to play this game several times. I tried different classes and equipment. But I just kept falling asleep trying to get through Greece.
Wasn't this the game where you slapped Satyrs with sticks?
For a Diablo2 clone, this game really is quite amazing. It doesn't just copy Diablo, but it adds some of it's own flavor as well. Some of my favorite things about this game: 1. Monsters actually wear and use the stuff they drop: See that zombie with the shiny glowing armor? That's probably some amazing rare item. Kill it and steal it's stuff. Oh, and wait until you meet a skeleton with a legendary bow. Better have those health potions ready. 2. Mix masteries: In this game, you can combine any two out of seven masteries, making for some very cool skill combos. And eventhough it's essentially just fluff, each mastery combination also has it's own class name. 3. Realistic lore. While it ofcourse goes over the top with demons, undead and magical monsters, the lore behind the game is essentially quite accurate, and pretty much every monster you meet in the game has it's myths and legends in Greek, Egyptian and Asian history. You get to meet King Leonidas and the Spartans early on, eventhough he's unfortunately not as badass as he was in 300. 4. Nice graphics: For a game that's been on the shelves now for several years, this game still looks pretty good. Another benefit of the game being a bit dated is that it runs on old PC's as well, and it's very cheap now. Some of my friends even run it on laptops. 5. Active Community: The forums for this game are still quite active. There's a lot of coop games going on, so if you don't like playing solo, there's that. I advise playing with friends, it makes the game even more fun.
For anyone who still plays this game, join this group :v: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/TQOFP
Eh, sure, why not? I joined the group, maybe we can get a facepunch server going.
If anyone wants to play, just let me know
The dream class is the best class.
The dream class is the best class.
What's so good about it? I play as Rogue and warfare, so I don't know how it is :v:
What's so good about it? Its damage also has no element, allowing for equal damage to every enemy (except those with all-around damage resistance)
Wow, I should've selected that instead of rogue Damn.
I got tired of the game halfway through the China part, i got so sick of those fucking tigermen and i was a basic warrior and i always thought, damn do these never stop coming. I was surprised that the game didn't end by the end of the greece part.

Nature/Hunter who never uses the bow, reporting. Gotta reinstall both TQ and expansion, since I've got them in THQ pack.

I can't kill it, and it can't kill me. :frown: I guess I'll replay the Valley of the Kings a few times and try to get some better gear. I guess I'll start a new character tomorrow, some beginner class but not too beginner, I heard dream/hunter is really overpowered. Warfare/Defense maybe?
Harbringer (Warrior/Dream) is amazing too
Defense + Hunting lets you be an awesome Spartan badass, with a spear and shield combo. If you invest in a good shield, you can be pretty much immortal with the defense mastery, and the passive shield smash skills do a ton of damage as well. It's like dual wielding, except one of your weapons is a shield. Warfare characters tend to be very fragile and have to chug a lot of health potions later on in the game, If You like the Warfare mastery, I suggest you try the Defense mastery. Defense is pretty much Warfare, but better.
Dream/rogue was my best class, 2200 crits on normal difficulty. [editline]8th January 2011[/editline]
Defense is pretty much Warfare, but better.
Onslaught would like some words with you.
I've started a new character and am looking for people who also want to start a new character for co-op, add me on Steam if interested.
Dream/rogue was my best class, 2200 crits on normal difficulty. [editline]8th January 2011[/editline] Onslaught would like some words with you.
Dual-Wielding has plenty of words with him, too. Last time I played this, I went for a Spirit/Earth person. Liche King does all the damage, while the Core Dweller tanked. I only ever had to do DPS and summon the occasional Djinn or Mad God when a boss became rather dickish.
I loved being Hunter/Earth. Got me a fast bow and torched those arrows. Was good times, though I think Hunter/Rogue might be better towards the endgame, but it wasn't nearly as fun in my opinion. Hunter is probably still my favorite class, it's satisfying shooting so many arrows at such a fast rate doing so much damage no one else can even get close enough to attack the monsters.
Honestly, don't pick warfare with defense, they kind of collide because you have to dual-wield to get the max out of warfare, and use a shield for defense.
This thread inspired me to install TQ once more, but i couldn't find my disks anymore. Good thing it was cheap on steam.
this is the best game I have ever played, got it at release' best diablo game ever [editline]10th January 2011[/editline]
Nature/Hunter who never uses the bow, reporting. Hunting/nature with a bow build is pretty damn awesome, though.
I'm stuck there now. I can't kill it, and it can't kill me. :frown: I guess I'll replay the Valley of the Kings a few times and try to get some better gear.
Hope you liked my help :v:
Hunting/nature with a bow build is pretty damn awesome, though.
I didn't understand the value of magic back then, although I still don't understand staffs useless pieces o' shit as far as I know
Installing this for the first time now, is Immortal Throne an expansion pack as in a separate campaign or does it add to the original?
Installing this for the first time now, is Immortal Throne an expansion pack as in a separate campaign or does it add to the original?
It basically adds an extra chapter to the original game. Pretty much like LoD for Diablo2.
Not completely sure what it is i didn't like about Titan Quest, but there is something really odd about it. However, i love Sacred 2 and Diablo 2. I may try this again soon i guess.
