Hunting/nature with a bow build is pretty damn awesome, though.
I just stab things with my blue pointy stick, I stole from the na'vi women.
That, and most of my inventory consists of potions, just like in good ol' Diablo 2 times.
Not completely sure what it is i didn't like about Titan Quest, but there is something really odd about it. However, i love Sacred 2 and Diablo 2. I may try this again soon i guess.
I had that with Sacred 2. Couldn't get into it, but i love TQ and Diablo.

If you could OD on potions my melee characters would be dead before they left Greece.
The only game that my dad plays beside Diablo series.
Warfare + Nature rocks. I remember playing at my cousin's place. We were 3 players, I used to beat the hell out of every single thing that got close to me while healing the others and summoning wolves. Never got trough Greece.

We should play S2 and TQ together then, maybe it levels out.
I'm so lazy I only get passive abilities or ones that you don't have to activate more than once.
Get the Underlord Mod, pure awesome. Adds level 40 skills to all classes and changes them to make more sense. Also replaces the rogue class.

One of my favorite clases was the Warden, Hunting/Defense.
Just saved Helos, I'm a hunter and trying to figure out how to reach Leonidas.

If you have it, PM me and I will give you my steam name and I'll host a game. If you are not Australian, you will get a little bit of lag.
(Only new characters)
I'd join but you are banned so I cannot get your username...

I'll host a round though since you can still PM me. :buddy:
Rogue is incredibly easy but it's rather boring, all it is to win is trap spam.
I want to bump this thread because I'm getting into TQ again lately. I want to talk to people about it but nobody on my friends list really plays.
I really think this game deserves more attention. It's the only Diablo clone I've played that actually matches (or perhaps exceeds) Diablo 2. The only thing D2 really has over TQ is randomly generated maps, but TQ's are nice too, since you can tell someone put love and care into each detail of the map layouts. Plus the game is so long, I can't imagine ever memorizing the map layouts. Also, like someone said on the last page, they really put some effort into their research. Most games based on Greek mythology end up mixing in Roman names and myths, but it looks like TQ kept it pretty distinct. Everything is either totally made up, or totally accurate.
And there are so many items in this game, I can't imagine ever finding them all. With all the arcane formulae, unique items and set items (both epic AND legendary) it seems like it could go on forever. TQ would definitely be a good desert island game. They even stuck in a handful of "joke" item sets that can be rarely found, like a santa outfit (using a candy cane as a weapon and a giant peppermint as a shield) and a Sherlock Holmes costume (complete with mustache, using a magnifying glass as a weapon) and a cowboy hat and boots. I haven't seen those in-game myself, but I've heard of them.
I've already played through the whole game once, and I'm in Egypt on my epic run. I have a second character using the warfare skill set (and nothing else) who's currently in Act 4 (this is really hard to do, especially on xmax, so I sometimes give her equipment that my high-level character has found). It doesn't help that her health regeneration is 0.0 due to some really awesome equipment that lowers her health regeneration in exchange for some awesome bonuses. Then I've also got about 5 more low-level characters who are still in Greece or Egypt on their first run. I make a ton of new characters because I want to try all the skill sets.
I use Nature+Spirit for maximum minion summoning efficiency.
Me and four guys from my M&B: Warband clan are playing this with 3x Xmax mod. We agreed on no ranged AoE attacks, as well, so... it's been "fun" in the DF sense. I've already played this game pretty much to its end. I had Hunting/Dream character (Most certainly the most overpowered class possible) that was literally immune to every attack in the game at level 62, so after I got the courage to delete him, the game became a lot of fun again.
I'm seriously dreading fighting the [sp]manticore[/sp] with triple enemies turned on.
Recently started creating a mod for this, playing it with dorm mates is great fun.
The game deserved more attention, kinda sad that Iron Lore closed.
Took about 2-3 days to finish it and Immortal throne with my brother.
Buy two copies of Titan quest : Gold and give one to a friend, it's awesome coop.
I loved the Ranger class, Harbringer is pretty neat to.
I got to Egypt with a friend of mine, but I eventually just got bored of it.
Got to the oracle a while ago, I'm just playing it on and off, actually having a good time with it.
fun game but I think the only time I've finished it was when I did a run-through with some sort of trainer
Gaining EXP in this game is slow to be honest but it's a really fun game for awhile. I got a character at 25+, he's right in the Orient after The Hanging Gardens and he's an assassin. I have to OD on potions while doing mediocre damage. I think it has to do with my equipment being bad.
Anybody recommend any nuke-type of spellcaster or a melee that can take some punishment while dishing out damage?
Dream+Nature if you want to be incredibly broken.
I found a relic tonight that I've never encountered before. Has anyone else ever seen an essence of Hermes' sandal?

Played TQ for 90 hours and I've never gotten a single one. It's cool though. I wish it was as common as something like herakles' might, which I have about 10 of.
It wasn't even on a super-advanced character that I found it either. It was a level 16 character, still in Greece. Didn't drop from a boss or a special treasure chest, but just a random-ass zombie or skeleton that I was fighting.
Ok I googled it and found some information:
As you can see on Gamebanshee, the relic hasn't even been properly balanced; the Epic and Legendary ones have the same bonus, which is lower the Normal version. Also, the completion bonuses are absent. They probably excluded it in a very late stage of development. Or they forgot it; I have no idea why they didn't implement it, a %movement relic for legs seems fine, the artwork was done, the mythical aspect is there and they even have a muse-teller blabbering about Hermes.
It just appeared in my game because I recently installed the fan patch (also includes the previously-mentioned missing completion bonuses). Hermes' sandal was present in the game's database, but was not actually implemented in the final game for whatever reason, despite seeming to be mostly complete.
Spose its been awhile since the OP was made, I just got into this game during the holidays, I'm really liking it more than other diablo-style games.
I've actually seen it drop for me without any patch bar the official ones, seriously however I was retarded enough to remove my level 25 character yesterday who had a fuckton of relics and such.
Oh well, atleast I instakill most things with my Dream skills, pulled a Theurgist as second class so I'm a Diviner.
I love the game but don't really have anyone on my frs list to play it through with :smith:
Me and 2 friends played this about a year or two ago, spent a few weeks on it going through it methodically, getting as much as we could and really enjoying ourselves. Then, just before we got to china, on of my friends computers just gave up on him and he had to replace the motherboard and all the hard drives. We gave up then. Maybe one day, we'll try again.
I enjoy playing this from time to time (Just got off of my new level 16 hunter) and I got to say, hunter 1shotting EVERYTHING is a bit... odd.
I wanted to fucking play this but the manual which back contained the CD key is lost.
