Okay seriously Activision - what's your grand scheme here? Transforming Spyro into this 'thing' was odd enough but now you have a ton of collectable figures you can buy to play as them in the game. Are parts of the game going to be entirely blocked off or unreachable without getting some, if not all, of these damn figures? Not to mention, why call it a Spyro game when you [i]apparently[/i] don't even have to play Spyro whatsoever?
I honestly hope this flops so Activision doesn't continue to grab Spyro by the throat and keep drowning him further.

They actually made a pretty cunning plan:
They first make a fully priced game with 32 characters, but 29 of them have to be bought separately. Since they're overpriced as fuck that means more money for them.
If enough idiots decide to buy it and the game won't flop they will make a Skylanders sequel, following the same gimmicks. This is more or less a kick in the balls for the hardcore fans.
If not, they said that they will probably try another reboot or a Spyro 4/5/6/whatever, but chances for a proper one are extremely low.
Besides, is it really that hard to make a fucking platformer? Spyro's still got a massive audience and I'm pretty sure it's a lot easier to make a platformer than to make something else.
The Graphics look next gen, you can tell they're using cutting edge technology to make this game.
Did I hear somewhere that if it does well they'll go back to the Original Trilogy formula?

Also the game costs roughly 350 dollars with all the characters. It pays off more to get the original Spyro trilogy than to buy Skylanders.

Bought spyro: Dawn of the Dragon for my sisters a couple months back, so they could feel how I felt as a child (aka I wanted some nostalgia so I bought them a b-day present I wanted myself), never touched it after the first time I played it. My heart was broked.

Just been following a let's play of the "Legend of Spyro" reboot. It actually look pretty fun. Not sure i'm digging the brawler fight system, and the platforming seems way downplayed, but the story seems interesting enough, and some of the dialogue is quite nice. Certainly a lot better than "[b]I WANNA GO AFTER GNASTY GNORK!!!!![/b]" which was basically Spyro's entire schtick in the first game.

I've always wanted more of these bright, cartoony platformer games that were so common during the PS1/N64 days that don't seem to be around a whole lot now.

Crash died after Crash Twinsanity which was really funny and actually fun, and now hes dead since i havent seen a new game for him, which is good.
So just let Spyro die already, hes been through much worse. Ive had the ''pleasure'' of playing Enter The Dragonfly and i cried cause of it.
I called them "running faggots" since I saw them the first time.
