I used to play this alot, my empire was quite large and was very rich, got bored and uninstalled it. If it was less cartoony and more serious I might have stayed a while longer.
Galactic Adventures is fucking incredible.
god, i really wish they'd kept the underwater stage.
Galactic Adventures is fucking incredible.
Agreed
god, i really wish they'd kept the underwater stage.
Yeah, I wish they kept that too.
They would have if it weren't for EA. EA [like always] slapped a ridiculous deadline for Spore, and caused Maxis to break off production for water stage, after experiencing bugs with the system. Said bugs could have easily been fixed with time. Fuck EA, not Maxis.
I would rather have Underwater then Space. Just have it end with Civilization shooting off it's first space ship, that way Maxis could've made Spore2: Space, and have that focus on space and such.
people would have bitched so much if that happened people(especially then) got angry enough about dlc as it is, but relegating an entire stage to a new game would be a whole new level
I ment before the stages were announced.

It becomes worth it to play space stage, and be surprised at what interesting [or stupid] mission you get chosen to complete.
The 2 mods, Bigger Planets and Platinumspore. If I had to only choose 1 of them to use what should it be?
Galactic Adventures was absolutely the best thing ever,I was pretty good at creating all sorts of stuff on this.I made some really epic adventures too.
Believe it or not, I want this game.
The 2 mods, Bigger Planets and Platinumspore. If I had to only choose 1 of them to use what should it be?
i think platinumspore is going to implement bigger planets soon, and platinum spore has more to offer in terms of gameplay so just go with platinum spore
Believe it or not, I want this game.
I want this game so that I can use Platinum Spore.
I want this game so that I can use Platinum Spore.
I can't get that mod to work for me, I have vanilla spore and the creepy cute pack (which was free) all patched up but when I install the mod nothing happens and it doesn't take any effect.

I wish I had Creepy and Cute, there are barley any adventures that don't use it.
This game hates my creations.
You have to have either Galactic Adventures, or Patch 3 for normal spore.
How would I know which patch I am on? I let Origin patch it all up for me, and when I logged in it asked me to download another patch (which I did)
I'm going to re-download this. I forgot how fun/bad this game is.
How would I know which patch I am on? I let Origin patch it all up for me, and when I logged in it asked me to download another patch (which I did)
you're probably on patch 5 then
Damnit my copy of spore has all the installs used up. Anyone have spare monies to gift me Spore on steam?
Found this post on the Sporum:
For those that don't know, a bunch of us won a trip to EA headquarters. We talked to MaxisStone (and everyone got a free signed copy of Darkspore Limited Edition) and upon asking if he had more plans with Core Spore, he gave an unexpected answer. He told me his next big project would be announced in January. Now, it wasn't completely specified if this actually had to do with CORE spore, as he was fairly secretive in that aspect. But at least we can be fairly certain it has something to do with Spore. So maybe they have finally decided to add another expansion, or maybe just a spinoff. In any case, we have something to discuss for the next 7 months. So put your speculations here!
Here's the source: http://forum.spore.com/jforum/posts/list/72605.page
I just pushed through the Civilization stage. fuck me is that a bore fest. The tribal stage was probably my favorite so far but it's definitely lacking in depth. I think if the maps were bigger and there was more depth it could be so much better. I like how you can assign everyone to different jobs by giving them tools, and even get a band together with different instruments. It's a shame they didn't do more with it though. I wasn't even rushing and I finished the entire stage in under an hour.
