What are you talking about. Cell stage.
Cell stage was the best yo, I'd always run around with my proboscis and suck out all the cell's innards
that and I'd make my cell a living lightning ball
Civ stage was ridiculously horrible.
Units were created instantly, no tech trees, and game ending super weapons.
I think, what they'd need to do to make Spore better, is add evolution in the stages.
The cell stage could start you off as an actual cell that just absorbs other cells Osmos-style, and then you evolve into a small cellular organism like the one you actually play as in the current cell-stage, and that evolves into a sort of 2D underwater stage à la the original demo.
In the creature stage, you would actually work your way up the food chain, "leveling up" as a species instead of "Yay, you have more health! Now, let's move your nest to a place where ALL the other creatures have more health too!".
The tribal and civilization stage should be replaced with a sort of primitive civilization and advanced civilization stages: both should work with ages and tech trees à la Age of Empires or Civilization, but the primitive stage would be closer to the tribe mechanics with individual soldier units (but going from tribes to early empires), and the advanced stage would be closer to the civilization mechanics with vehicles.
Just some ideas, I suppose. I'm no game designer :v:

Man are you crazy ten year old kids will never get that, stick to the overly easy game where your creature grows brains instantly out of nowhere without any significant change of anatomy

And yet still more qualified than the people who designed spore.
Oh man I love the space stage I wish it never ended.
Oh wait.
I'm surprised that you guys aren't taking about The January Project.
I didn't like the visuals in spore, and the Creator needed SO MUCH POLISHING
But overall it was a fun game, especially the Space Stage.

There's not a huge amount to talk about is there? Except for the fact that there's going to be "something new" in January, we know nothing. I myself am hoping for a 'revised' Spore, like it was in 2005, with the same amount of depth Gilboron posted.
A man can dream though.
When I got it :
Made walking penis
...
then it turned into 2009
I enjoy this game more than I should.

I didn't like this game for the gameplay elements,it was unleashing my creativity(which I'd say is rather strong) was what got it for me.

That's the best of all creatures posted on FP(which isn't very many(still sucks compared to some of my stuff EHEHE)).
Nice, but you should have tried to morph the parts to clip way less. Also, there are some GA energy things(forgot what they do),yet you used a space-stage clothing prop for swords and claws, despite there being claw weapons and a lightsaber-esque thing that woul both have been better. Also, maybe you could hide one of the golden Zealot energy shields behind the skull to give the skull-shield an epic sparkly electric shield effect.Maybe you could have had a plasma blaster sticking out under the skull-shield's jaw,so it could be a shield that shot lasers?
Overall, use way more GA items for clothing, they generally look cooler.
Yeah,I played this alot.
Goddamnit,I think I'm gonna rebuy this on Steam. It was fun as hell.

I liked the dynamicity of the world in,well, all stages except Cell stage.Things happened without you even going near them, like a giant monster pushing a species of peaceful herbivores into extinction in Creature stage, rival tribes stealing from other tribes in Tribal stage, civilizations racing to build refineries over Spice Geysers in Civilization stage, the Grox destroying another empire's colony in deep space and terraforming it to be barren and icy(Did AI terraform in Space stage?I can't remember).

Meh.

Made as/with a played character. Only did Vat Tega adventure as I usually gain allies without ever doing mission for them so I never do Adventures.
Those darn eggs.

Argh, I REALLY want to play this game again, but it's on my old, VAC banned, disabled account.

I want to play this game again but it involves me downloading all of the updates and I can not be bothered right now.
