I noticed just now that the same guy made a review for the beta, claiming Minecraft was a ripoff of Manic Digger! Like, who the fuck told him that?
Don't forget to check out the Best Gamers Forums, my eyes started bleeding.

The Best Gamers are SATIRE.

I think he says that because he made a lot of promises he never fullfilled :v:

He fulfilled more than one.
Which automatically makes him better than most UK politicians.
I agree with the dungeons and NPC's being really boring and pointless as of now.
If Notch added some special items and stuff like Terraria, it would be a lot cooler.

I think I'm gonna go play some Minetest instead. You know, that game that's written in C++, is open-source, is free, supports both D3D and OpenGL, natively supports textures larger than 16x16 (brb, downloading a 1024x1024 texture pack), has an up/down limit of 30000 blocks, an unlimited horizontal scale, and is developed by a guy that actually adds good suggestions?
Not to mention it runs better than Minecraft.
Will notch still update minecraft with new content?
Well of COURSE he will!
It'll be called "DLC" and unless you bought it in Alpha you'll have to pay for it. Bit of a genius dickmove on his part there.
the dlc will be full price for final buyers, 25% off for beta buyers, 50%off for alpha buyers, and 75%off for indev/infdev buyers
[editline]27th November 2011[/editline]
and he will do this while denying ever saying people would get the dlc for free

Bullshit, he said DLC would be free for alpha buyers. He tried to do a "reduced cost" thing but some legalities prevented him from doing that.

he's already legally bound to provide it for free to alpha players, and he said he intended to release it for free to everyone in most circumstances
i just have this feeling that hell go back on it though
why the fuck does minecraft need dlc?
it doesnt need more unfinished/broken things
notch really lost sight of what the fuck he's doing.
The review's style really reminds me of something Red Letter Media would do.
Minecraft is just a really dumbed down version of multiple games, so it applies to a variety of audiences.
A variety of dumbed down audiences? :v:
I was told by a friend to sum up Notch's time.

They've said that they're going to keep updating the game after release. For free. You cynical

1st, are you the maker of Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff?
2nd, Notch's taking our money, puts it in a blender, grinds it into powder and jizzes on it?
I don't really care if the game is structurally very poor, or if there are bugs aplenty. Personally, I've found the game to be one of the most fun I've ever played and poured hundreds of hours in to it. I judge games based on enjoyment, so while I can understand that objectively it is a buggy, unoptimised, and rather poorly designed game, I'd have to recommend it to anyone.
Ahaha oh wow people take these guys seriously, don't they? :suicide:
Even if most of his points are valid (And boy, that's unusual), they're cancelled out by all the bullshit.
Those are my prejudiced two cents :v:

wait he is making dlc for minecraft?
crap we will never get any more content for free.

plus that will really screw over servers.

So their parody reviews in the past negate their serious review now? How does that make any sense?
they try to stir as bad of a reaction as possible and unfortunately for minecraft, that means telling the truth

Minetest is going to go places, and nobody will ever know because they'll be too engrossed in minecraft
Despite all these flaws I still find the game incredibly enjoyable to play. It's a shame such a fantastic concept has management with it's head up it's ass.
Despite Minecraft's flaws, many of which he pointed out...
I feel Minecraft is solid game, and I'm glad to have supported it all this time. Sure, it's not perfect and parts of it reek of a lack of professionalism, but it's still a well built game based on a fantastic concept.

If the way Notch "updates" Minecraft keeps up, people will just stop playing Minecraft. And as soon as they find Minetest, they'll forget about Minecraft.

Would you pay $27 for minecraft?
Would you pay $27 for minecraft?
Maybe, if I could afford it. It was like 15 bucks when I bought it.

"They make parody reviews, therefore their actual honest and objective review must be wrong!"
