What?
He's making a crap joke, usually games get ported from consoles, whereas this was on PC first, then got ported to console so he's saying someone should port this to PC, even though it's already on PC. Pretty sure he is anyway. [editline]6th October 2011[/editline]
It's funny because it'd be like almost every PC release nowadays.
What do you mean? Not every port is the same.
hence the almost
I don't know about you, but when I go outside, depending on the time of day, it does get that bright out.
Let me remind you that the character is wearing a ski mask with an integrated hud. I dunno but when you wear sun glasses and such it's usually to avoid this kind of very bright vision.
That is a terrible post, Ski Mask? Sun Glasses? Really? It's a Nanosuit, i can see out of 1,330 Posts you don't make a single dumb post.
Yup, in Crysis, the suit started in Armor mode, and reverted to that if the energy drained in Stealth mode. Strength was optional, and sprint had to be enabled to make you faster in general. I don't really like the Crysis 2 system from playing the "demo" of the multi-player, especially after just coming off playing Crysis.I wonder if they changed it to this method due to the button limits on the controller or what.
A quick thought of how they could make the suit work normally with console controls. Up D-Pad: Binocs R3: Radial Menu Left Bumper/L2: Change Grenade Right Bumper/R2: Throw grenade.
i can see out of 1,330 Posts you don't make a single dumb post.
That doesn't make any sense, what's your point ? Also is supposed to prevent the sun from blinding you.
I'm pretty sure this is using cryengine 3 and crysis (PC) uses cryengine 2...?
Spot on. CE3 has a much better lighting and shadowing system than CE2, Crysis PC looks fairly dulled down compared to Crysis PS3/360 does from the screenshots I've seen. (comparing to my rig which runs it on mostly high).
Just purchased this. Will post impressions and off screen shots once it's finished downloading.
I know Crysis was more of a tech-demo than it should've been (thus the arguments about graphics), but some people really should loosen up and accept it as a game instead of 'one step for consoles, yet two steps behind PCs.' Granted, no multiplayer is sort of a bummer, but eh. Kind of don't know what to think about Crysis 2's gameplay mechanics being implemented, though. Either it's just to make the first game feel more like the second for console gamers who never played the first, or it's because it's Cryengine 3 and all.
It looks dull because they didn't splash a blue filter over the game with unrealistic amounts of anamorphic bloom and high contrast.
The contrast is probably what makes it look a bit nicer. But I mean the shadows in general just seem to be a bit shit in CE2 at times, where when I played the Crysis 2 demo, with whatever settings it had, the shadows looked a lot nicer in general.
Just started playing it, already said "Wow" at the graphics a few times. Very impressive for being on 6 year old or so hardware. I also laughed at [sp] getting the achievement for picking up the turtle. [/sp]
I just think the graphics for the console version seem more superficial and for the artsy type. I think the research in lighting in DICE's art team for Battlefield 3 is brilliant; the lighting is brighter than most games but somehow not overbearing because they are controlling tonemaps to achieve greater brightness rather than increasing bloom. The result is greater clarity in textures and objects.
What does that have to do with Crysis? That Crysis is apparently too bright on consoles? (Which is bullshit)
I just think the graphics for the console version seem more superficial
superficial? come on people i think we're running out of criticisms to use.

Really enjoying the game so far. I was playing last night and chatting with a buddy in a party when something pretty hilarious happened. I heard a truck coming down this hill, so I cloaked and went prone in the middle of the road with the grenade launcher attachment ready. The truck turned the corner and started driving straight at me. I shot a grenade at the truck causing it to explode and flip over me in a fiery ball. As the truck flipped over me, it dumped all the soldiers that were in the truck right on top of me. This all happened right after I had reached a check point, so I decided to reload the checkpoint and try to make it happen again but this time with a camera recording. It didn't go as planned. The grenade went under the truck at the last second.
Completed the game yesterday, I love it. I'll try to complete the game on Delta today to get the last achievements.
Why are people whining about a console version if the pc version has been out a while.... yes good for you, you have it already, now let the people that haven't played it have a go, no matter how it looks, plus you guys say you aren't graphics whores... what a crock of shit.
the new shaders i want them for pc
Wow, some comments on some Crysis X-Box videos. the PC gamers complaining are acting more immature then the console players.
I don't get why anyone has a problem with this?
Same here. I'm happy that our console Brethren can finally play this game. Its 10 times better then Crysis 2.
I don't get why anyone has a problem with this?
'cus consles are 4 fagts. In all seriousness these people who are complaining is a major reason many console gamers look at the PC gaming community as if they are retarded. A shit, 'tard filled community is a gigantic turnoff for any console players to want to get into PC gaming.
Lighting looks better on the console version than in the vanilla pc version
Not that Comment rating means anything on youtube, but I got 2 of my comments up voted to the top because I wasn't raging about it like everyone else.
Lighting looks better on the console version than in the vanilla pc version
Now, I have no problem with the console version, it's great that everyone can play it now. But what I DO have a problem with is comments like this which are just totally false and really stupid.

So, yeah, I think the PC version has better lighting.
