Better than SLI 8800GTX I believe
The 8800GTX Sli is the equivalent of around one GTX 280, so yes it's better.
Well perhaps it was just that then, because all i'm doing is going by what the damn benchmark said. No need to become a dick reason to say i'm full of shit just because i'm going by what the damn game said, garrynohome. I am intrigued to see what the current 480 i'm on will do though.
You're the one who insisted your false claim was right AFTER I presented evidence that said you were wrong. Don't blame me for your stubborn attitude.
that's like Someone set the SSAO amount to 20, it looks horrible.
I understand you like to think that PC is better in every single possible field, but honestly you are just wrong

A different preference in graphics cannot really be wrong.
It is inarguable that, in the comparison screenshots above, the console version has far too much bloom and contrast to look natural. The PC version takes something of an opposite route, where it's actually lacking a bit in contrast.
I think most of us can agree that the PC version looks more natural, while the Xbox 360 version looks more stylized.

would you also agree that if the PC screenshot had slightly more contrast it would look better than the Xbox 360 screenshot?

Absolutely. I am 100% willing to agree that the console version may have a better lighting engine, but I think the implementation of it sucks.
The PC version really just needs some deeper shadows and brighter highlights without being completely overbearing like the console version.

Except the pc version really doesn't look natural. It's less contrasted, but the end result just looks flat and not realistic at all (shadows are way darker than that in real life).
this comparison shows what i'm talking about:

on the console version, it looks like the sun is actually casting light while on the pc the lighting looks dull.
Can we just surmise that while it's not 'PC Master Race' quality as you people keep complaining about, it's still damn good for the 360 and a testament that while not perfect, the Cryengine 3 isn't terrible with rendering the beach and island environments of the first game?
Wow, I am very impressed by the console version, it even looks better than the PC version (if onyl because of it's tech).
Maybe it's just me, but the PC version doesn't look all that natural, compared to the console version it actually somewhat looks like fullbright with shadows.
