To be honest, I'm absolutely sure that it was the others that were acting like morons, rather than Simon and Lewis. There's probably a reason you only ever hear those two talk, despite there being way more people behind the scenes. The fact is that some people know how to act in public and on stage, and some people don't. Chances are the reason we didn't hear the others talk on stage is that they're the ones who had the over-the-top god complexes, whereas everything else was probably a misunderstood joke when it came from Simon and Lewis. But as far as it is now, we don't know what happened. So wait until we actually get some evidence that one side is more to blame than the other before you start ranting about how Yogscast is shit or how Notch is a hypocrite or whatever. Which brings me to another point - you're a moron if you come into this thread just to say something along the lines of "well Yogscast is shit anyway LOL". Okay, you don't like them, that's fine - but I don't see how that's relevant at all to the feud between them and Notch.

I'm liking JWJ's thoughts on this, given: A: he was there B: he's actually giving detailed thoughts instead of "OMG IT'S JUST BRITISh HUMOR" (though it's worth consideration) C: I know about conventions and organizing myself and can agree with his points plus to the guy saying how you shouldn't be angry about bad language when you're in Vegas, not everything is daiquiris and strippers, that's like saying that you shouldn't bring kids to New York because everyone's a mugger or a hooker. This is a convention center in a major world hub, and the convention is self-contained with only the people working it and people who paid to get in. It isn't like you've got naked showgirls and gambling drunks randomly walking into the convention and hosting panels.

I'm not taking any sides because I'm a huge fan of both Notch and the Yogscast, plus taking sides when the Yogscast haven't even had the chance to defend themselves is a bit unfair. This has caused way too much drama than it should have.

I'm hearing everywhere that it was overcrowded and poorly planned. Maybe Notch felt disappointed and felt the need to lash out, with the Yogscast being an easy target because of the language. JWJ might have been there, but I very much doubt he knows the full story either. Everything right now is just hearsay until at least the guys of Yogscast get a chance to offer their side of the story. Overall I think this whole drama is terrible taste of Notch. He knows everything he says is going to snowball all over the internet, and because it's 140 character twitter messages he doesn't give a lot of info, leading to people assuming things and taking his messages way out of context. This whole affair is just terribly unfair towards the Yogscast.

I was at the convention also and the signatures they handed out were limited due to time constraints. This may be one reason the suppossed "kid" actually released the remarks. Only time will tell as to who was truthful and right in the end. Now, unlike JWJ, I didn't get close enough to talk to, or even hear them. Again, for those who couldn't get to them at the convention, or have never seen them in person, the words of few or many can be hard to believe. It is the internet of course.

No. Well sure special guests might just be VIP's like business people, but the Yogscast clearly is more than just business people. They do reporting too. It's a bit childish to say their attempts to report on certain things are bitchy because they were persistant in trying to get in somewhere. I've seen it first hand that being persistant get's you into places you would never have thought you could enter. Why this has become a personal thing is beyond me. Curse is a company. They pay for their booth a large sum (probably between 1000 and 3000 dollar) to advertise their stuff. This has nothing to do with the Yogscast. I am not even trying to defend the Yogscast anymore. It just doesn't make sense.

I don't buy any of this. Notch is probably just fucking with them. They seemed to get along just fine and I just don't see the yogscast guys doing any of this, unless they were completely smashed (then I might believe it).
