In Which Yogscast single-handedly ruined minecon for notch
Holy shite Mojang actually sold their livestream to IGN without first mentioning it to them.
Sounds like a bunch of nerds who don't know how to run a company.
After reading through their statement on reddit, it seems that it was Notch being a little over-reactive to some things and swaying things into his favor. I don't think any differently of Notch or the Yogscast, I am a fan of both of their works and enjoy them. I just hope this passes.

Well yeah but you have to forgive them because that's exactly what they are.
Still nasty though.
Wow what the fuck is wrong with Notch? All three of them were having so much fun in that interview before the show. Then he spews this bullshit on twitter, which makes gullible people mad so they DDOS the Yogscast's forums. I guess Notch is an angry drunk.

It's up.

Oh and this.

Fuck, you beat me to it. As most people thought, there was some miscommunication. Blame the attention whores who lured things together.
So with the statement presented, here is how I view it. Parents took the language presented by the Yogscast as offensive and one disgruntled parent relayed a message to a drunk Notch at the party. The following day (while Yogscast was busy), Notch made a message in reply to what he was told. Now, Yogscast replies with a clean up statement. Conclusion: Notch and Yogscast may have some ill feelings but it will be so small, it'll be barely noticeable. I guarantee they'll make up and resume doing what they do best.
Note: Yogscast has always sworn in their videos (primarily thinking their viewers as a mature audience). Little kids galore were at the panel. Also, it was disorganized.

Again, probably a disgruntled parent cuz her kid missed a signature.
Okay, Yogscast statement makes a lot of sense then..
Also, anyone else find it weird that 2 entertainers, known for their immature jokes, did the mature thing and made an official statement about the incident, while the head guy of a company is the one who spewed unverified stuff on twitter first?
CANT WAIT TO HEAR WHAT NOTCH HAS TO SAY ABOUT THIS

Hungover much? Drunk/hungover tweets are teh best. He also said sorry for the remarks. What he should do is say what he was told.

Again, neither were in the wrong. Just an asshole who wanted to stir up something as an attack for missing out on something. I was peeved that I didn't get the sigs from Yogscast, but I wouldn't go that far as retaliation.

The jokes may be immature, but they are very thoughtful people.

What he should do is learn how not to use twitter
Weirdly, it actually was because of the Yogscast that I got Minecraft. I had played classic before but wasn't willing to pay for the full version because I didn't really know about it. Yogscast showed me how awesome it was. So I wouldn't have actually gotten it if it wasn't for them as I'm sure is the same for a lot of other people. I don't find it that hard to believe they made a contribution to its success.
They're handling this really well. If I was in their situation, I'd be raging my ass off.

Not really, I'm usually immature but when needs must when the devil drives i'll act mature.

I think his main point was that notch was being the immature one in the situation which is the opposite way round to what you'd expect.
Never doubted them for a second.
Yay! Nice to see they've cared enough to make a video about it. Everything's gonna be O.K. <3

Yeah, that makes it okay that he tried to destroy the Yogscast for swearing.
What he should do is learn how not to use twitter
I understand but when you lose control of your judgement, well... things can go sour fast. I still respect Notch and will remain subbed to the Yogscast. For now, let the cleaning begin and everyone should return to what they were doing.

I don't think anyone ever assumed notch as a mature business man, ever.
So this whole thing was just Notch being cranky? Or is there a possibility the yogcasts is lieing?
I say now that's out of the way all involve put this shit behind them. There's no point dwelling on it, and I think all of them seem to be fairly at peace with each other.
Of course both fan bases won't be able to shut the fuck up but eh
I don't think anyone ever assumed notch as a mature business man, ever.
No, but as a business man he should be.
My thought is either disgruntled parent or someone upset still about the modders fiasco a month or two back, back then some of the major Minecraft modders were actively trying to get their fans to go against the yogscast

I don't think they're lying. It's just not the way they are.

Oho, I remember that. In fact, I admire Yogscast for that, as it prepares the proletarian manchildren modders who thrive off of their seventeen cents of adf.ly money for when the mod API hits and they will be unable to use it to get said seventeen cents of adf.ly money.

It is hilariously awkward to watch a fat balding Swedish man try to rave.

"Stop having fun." pretty much sums up your post. Also not a rave, it's just a dance party.
This thread should be over and done with already. We know notch jumped the shark.

It doesn't matter if hes having fun, its awkward.

At least he has the balls to do it.

There was a post somewhere, that if Notch ever adds something like that to the Source code release agreement (the ModAPI is JUST release source code to modders)
that they would move to that Minecraft mod forum and just continue decompiling it even if the terms of conditions were changed to say no decompiling.

sums up my thoughts on the whole thing
