This is like beating a dead pony.
With a dying pony.
Solution to all problems presented in the thread: 1. See furries and bronies spreading their opinions? Don't talk about it, you will spread it further by doing so. 2. See an MLP image? Ignore it if you don't like it. 3. See a furry image? Solution #2. 4. Someone likes something you don't? Cry about it because you're a massive baby if that upsets you in the slightest. [editline]28th November 2011[/editline] Also, to be honest, the WH40k "HERESEYYY!!!" "PURFIY FURFAGGZZ AND BROHNEESE" shit is way more annoying than bronies and furries. Broadcasting something you enjoy or love is one thing, but spreading around your hate for aforementioned thing? That's just appalling.
So why exactly are you talking about ponies when it has nothing to do with the context of the thread
So why exactly are you talking about ponies when it has nothing to do with the context of the thread
Because someone's panties got all twisty when Notch posted that he was a brony on Twitter.
So why exactly are you talking about ponies when it has nothing to do with the context of the thread
Because the whole thing has blown over for the most part.
If you actually watched it you would find out that they are taking the piss out of it more than anything.
This. Because they realized much of their popularity comes from them being slightly awkward and inept at everything. The British tend to excel at this kind of absurd humor. For instance, Monthy Python. Also, Simon has played with ponies before.
The chief export of Britain is national treasures. Followed closely by awkward silence.
This thread turned ugly pretty fast. I'll clean it up, There.
How about this? If you like MLP/Furry stuff, KEEP IT IN A MLP/FURRY RELATED THREAD YOU OBNOXIOUS ASSHOLES.
Except they are not allowed either of those things. The closest thing they have is the Dragon thread.
How about this? If you like MLP/Furry stuff, KEEP IT IN A MLP/FURRY RELATED THREAD YOU OBNOXIOUS ASSHOLES.
I concur. Generally (at least in most forums I frequent) the only acceptable MLP content allowed outside MLP threads are image macros. Fortunately for you, those aren't allowed here on FP. Although, FP generates so much hate that there isn't even a MLP thread in Television section. Whatever, right? That one thread alone could manage to ban hundreds due to shitposting.
Except they are not allowed either of those things. The closest thing they have is the Dragon thread.
Because it causes unduly drama and, as far as I'm aware, I haven't seen the Dragon thread do that (which is weird because they're fundamentally the same, but whatever). Generally, if there isn't a thread for it, there's a forum for it. If you want to stay here, you abide by the rules - which we are all perfectly capable of doing. If you don't like those rules, then it would seem Facepunch isn't for you.
One thing I never did like is when people are generalizing every furry and brony. The furries and bronies who shove their furry/pony stuff into people's throats is just a vocal minority of both fandoms. In reality, most of them keep their furry/pony stuff to themselves, and their friends who like that kind of stuff.
This is true, I know of a gay furry who often plays tf2. Minus his transsexual skunk avatar which may or may not be for trolling he is a pretty cool guy.

They should just make a chat thread, then they could keep it in the thread
Good grief, what the heck happened? I don't even... Look, could a mod just lock this already? It was okay to have this thread around when the dispute was fresh, but now that everything's cooled down, it's pointless. More importantly, though, the discussion has collapsed into some unrelated mess that should end before it gets any worse.
One the plus side, I've now discovered yogscast.
I like how this went from Yogscast and Notch to furries and bronies
No comment.
They're not fans of the show. They're just playing the mod because it's quite humorous. Hannah is a fan of it though.
They're not fans of the show. They're just playing the mod because it's quite humorous. Hannah is a fan of it though.
Hannah is female which makes up for just over %50 of the actual demographic. And in business terms if you own %50 of a company, you have master control of it.
How about this? If you like MLP/Furry stuff, KEEP IT IN A MLP/FURRY RELATED THREAD YOU OBNOXIOUS ASSHOLES.
If I recall correctly, the MLP thread got shitcanned after the mods got tired of the moderating the thread due to the large amount of image macros and pornography.
They should just make a chat thread, then they could keep it in the thread
They HAD a thread in the T.V. subforum, and that quickly degenerated to fast threads level posting and the mods got fed up with their ponyfaggotry. Their pony concentration camp was relocated to the chat subforum, where it was eventually closed and the "no pony bullshit" rule was put in place. So basically, bronies have so little self control that they couldn't even keep their own thread going without it degenerating to trolls trolling trolls trolling trolls.
I came into this thread expecting to read some information on the Minecon issue with Notch and Yogscast, and instead I get flooded with MLP/Furry/Dragon arguments over their place here on the forums. Stay Classy Facepunch.
this entire discussion is idiotic we have reached a new low. we have dug past rock bottom and somehow ended up in china
I frequent quite a lot of places on the net and Facepunch is probably the 2nd site in terms of allergic reactions to pony. Lots of shit flinging here, it's kind of entertaining.
this entire discussion is idiotic we have reached a new low. we have dug past rock bottom and somehow ended up in china
I'd be careful with posts like this one.
Does anyone feel that bronies shove their stuff into our face?
You've clearly never encountered Pnukup.
Is this Yogscast? If so, lol, and everything they say should be disregarded. I mean, I've never heard of them before, and I love minecraft. Also the number of people who've bought minecraft far outweighs their subscriber count on youtube (which is moderately high for such unfunny shit videos) therefore whilst they might think they have some influence on minecraft as a whole, they really influence fuck all and are probably on a power/authority trip.
