This thread made me go dig up my old copy of Diablo in my closet, Tonight is gonna be a good night.
Yeah I tried Median, but uh... It was weird at times. Especially when, in Act I, you can't go near this ghost creature or else it will instantly kill you. Better not run too fast.
Just started installing Diablo 2 again so I could try out Median XL.
Installed D2 lately to try out Median XL, and [b][i]holy shit[/i][/b] some enemies are overpowered beyond all fairness. Act 2 is pure bullshit and I've gone through that three times now.
The highest level is 121 and I'm 102 [i]only[/i] in Act 3 hell. But the extreme difficulty is what makes it so fun, because when has a game ever been this challenging since Super Meat Boy or I Wanna Be The Guy?

Not sure if I was a part of that group, but I do remember you being in one of my groups I set up to play D2. We had like 8 people (fpers) but stopped around Act IV I think :/

nobody plays through the entire game together
i've never played through the entire game with others
mostly because people stop playing and i end up playing by myself, which gets really boring after a while
Where's D3 in the OP?
I want to finish D2 but I usually never get farther than the first act with friends and there's always one guy who holds us back when we want to play.
I absolutely loved this game.
But now there's just hackers, botters and dupers.

You should have seen Darkspore before the recent nerf.
Just quit Diablo. I had aquired all these great things, and I accidently entered an Uberquest dungeon and got insta killed. Now I have no way of retrieving those items because I keep dieing as soon as I enter the dungeon.
Most times when I play Battle.net I just rush through, I never enjoy the game too much anymore.
I don't own Diablo 2, but when I do get to play, I only get to the Desert Lands.
I usually play as Druid, for creating my own personal army, while I drink potions and chill behind the scenes.
Back when I was a youngster, D2 was amazing to me. I'd spend so much time kicking ass with my Barbarian and all. Got through Normal and Nightmare (Black Diablo oh god) through the thick of fire and blood. Only until I got to Hell did I screw up by being stupid and sending my info through a scam. I'll miss ye, Rattlecage, you purple pimpin' armor. :frown:

those summons are meat shields just use amp + corpse explosion and bye bye monsters
For those of us who loved Diablo (II) and are waiting eagerly for DiabloIII, Titan Quest is a game that can easily stand next to the Diablo series in terms of quality and fun. Simply replace Diablo's demon gods with ancient Greek and Egyptian ones, and you have Titan Quest. The rest is pretty much the same.

Diablo 1 doesn't have corpses, as far as I know. If you die, your items drop to the floor. Thank god for telekinesis.

What does everyone think of Diablo clones? Personally the only one I've found that even holds a candle to Diablo 2 is Titan Quest.
And the Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance games on PS2 were really good to play with a friend. They were actually the first Diablo-esque games I ever played, so I was surprised that Diablo 2, the earlier game, was much better.

What about the Summoner or Champions of Norrath series? The PS2 had all the good Diablo-likes.

I agree, Titan Quest is defiantly one of the better ones. Darkspore is also pretty good. It's not as deep without skill trees, but there's quit a bit of strategy in forming squads with heros that compliment each other, lots of interesting loot, and gets very challenging towards the end.
