I'll try that, what should I get my recruits to train on so they can kill off the SWAT?
EDIT: Oh, you can create body armour if you have good tailoring skill.
^Grind guns on crackheads and shit until you have a squad with like 8 skill at least in any gun (preferably get them rifles, handguns are cool too, but rifles dominate), then you can take on an equal number of SWAT guys. You'll want like 10 skill before you start taking on lots of SWAT or Army guys though. If you can, don't kill the crackheads you're training on, killing them will give more chance of getting a siege on your safehouses, unless that's what you want. Just shoot them once or twice, and run, then rinse and repeat. Takes ages, but it's safer than just going all out crazy on a crack house and shooting everything up. Oh and don't forget to run before the cops arrive, unless you think you can take them
Best is if you are under siege and have booby traps, get the enemy caught in the trap, then you can go to them and shoot them to shit without them retaliating because they are trapped or something. Free weapon skill and guns/ammo.
No matter what though, there is always the chance, even with 20 skill in rifles, and body armor, that you could get insta-killed by a really lucky headshot or something. Always play it safe, if it looks like you can't take the enemy, pull out if you want to live. Martyrs, while honoured, cannot help the LCS anymore than an arch-conservative can
I've never tried building melee combat characters, so I can't comment on that, but apparently with skill levels above 10 you can lop limbs off with a katana like crazy, so that may be worth looking into as a fun alternative to guns.
Oh and if you get SWAT body armor and M4's, you can carry the M4's without conservative alarms going off (until you fail a disguise check that is) as it is considered part of the disguise. So get those and you can sneak into conservative HQ's, do your stealing or whatever, and pull out safely without getting shot at, or if you do get shot at, you have something to really turn the heat up on the enemies

You need to grind skills, and protect yourself.
My main char only comes out when he's with his battlebuddies in swat armor and m4s, when he's not recruiting/seducing.
Oh dear. I don't suppose there's a good way to grind Leadership, is there? I suppose it requires loads and loads of Juice, right? My leader has been jailed for life.

I got some money and I want to recruit some people but the "Go forth and stop EVIL" option is phased out, does anyone know what I have to do? Also I've stolen like 3 cars but I can't select any of them.
I got a 14 year old girl, and by the time she was 15 she'd become an unstoppable force with a sword and lead a team of trench coat wearing men with shotguns, each less effective than her, when my main died she became the new leader, and was ultimately there when America embraced liberalism.
My main died trying to take on about five cops barehanded, he'd taken down 2 or 3 before he got shot to death, also I can''t win any other way than by starting a liberal newspaper, if you get them going it's just a matter of waiting for the game to declare you the winner.

Have you made a squad?
I realised that I didn't have a squad after a while and then got shot when trying to steal a car. This game is really hard if you don't lay low :v:
Also I try to convince people to join my cause but they say I'm crazy, I even had really high charisma.
It takes days to make them join you, you gotta start slowly, and when it says Idiot who will probably die is ready to fight for the LCS, only them they will join your cause.
Also this game is fun as heck. I cheated and maxed all of my character's skills, codename: V, I am able to take onto 3 officers at once, I'm recruiting people to my cause to use them as meat shields.
Is it possible to make a SWAT officer join you? If so where do I find one?

How'd you manage that? I tried editing the save file and it keeps corrupting my game, not letting me play until I delete the save. How did you manage to get around this?

Can't you play guitar or preach to them to get them to change sides? It'd be difficult but I don't see why it wouldn't work on SWAT officers like it works on others.

Oh god I remember this game and I also remember maxing out my leaders bare handed murdering and dogging skills. I had to have slain thousands of SWAT teams before the game turned on me and my leader took 2 bullets to the face. I never realized how hard it was to recruit people when your leading liberal is missing his tongue and all of his teeth, but somehow he managed to get by.
