That's ridiculous. You really have to be careful what you do and how you behave. I just had my character that I've been playing all day with get raided by police and gunned down. I had 7 hippies with shotguns backing him up. :/

Do you guys just go around killing people randomly or something? That's what it seems like... for me I like to establish a whole tier of recruiters, then I split those off into cells with different types of people, like hackers, clothes makers, sword users, guys with guns, thieves, etc
to the person who asked if you can buy new safehouses, you can tag up and kill the conservatives at the crackhouses and if you kill enough those places eventually become an option as a safehouse.
nick to get into hiding you're gonna have to make a squad with only you in it, what I would do is rent a high priced apartment if you can afford it, stay there till your heat level dies down.. note that if one of you surbordinates are in jail, your heat level usually stays longer.
EDIT: oh and, any of you guys know how to start in a game where's its REALLY REALLY conservative? i saw one of the posts where it says you go to jail for a long time and come out but I really don't wanna do that, I'd rather stay young and have it happen because I don't want my stats to deteriorate... (for those who didn't know, your WIS and INT goes up while your STR and AGI goes down as you age)

Yeah it sucks, jailed for eight years for burning the flag.
Anyways; I just rounded up 5 people and we armed ourselves with katanas and ak-47 then broke into a CEO's house, murdered him, then stole all his money and easily made a getaway from the police, but the most badass this about it: did all that on christmas day.
So after fooling around a bit, i came out of 10 years in jail and the world seems the same... maybe your worlds start off more conservative when they were generated? :\
Is this as easily moddable as Dwarf Fortress is?

It's useless however.
People miss too often in this game. I got trapped between a wall and someone else at the chemical plant, I had to mash the F key and wait for them to kill me because I was injured and they kept missing.
Maybe you just dodge well?
I was on the floor, dying.
Maybe the guy you fought had crappy stats then... try fighting agents or the CIA, they'll kill you so fast..

I'm going to seduce one and get them to treach me secuirity.
Just train it yourself, go to the apartments in the industrial district and try to lockpick all the doors, if you are successful you'll get XP, if not, have a crowbar handy and pry it open, you'll get a bit less XP but its still good XP nonetheless.
According to the wiki I should look for a critic.

Oh and I forgot to mention, you stop getting XP if you keep going back to the same door at the same apt, you've gotta go to other doors.. try the crack houses and the homeless shelter for example.. the XP for them resets every month I think.
