Would've been nice if he used the normal map of the model as a dynamic heightmap for the calculation of the blood's path. That way the blood won't only drip down the UV mapping, it would take different paths across the clothing due to "obstacles" in the texture.
It's too bad my PC is shit and have to run the alphas on the lowest settings. I love spawning a pole and then running into it then ragdolling myself and going into slow mo. Really entertaining

Unless you're talking about metal armor or something. That would be cool then :v:
So is this game going to be based on the first campaign and character or is it a whole new story and person?
Why does it look so, fluid? I want this so bad.
How playable is the Alpha at this point? (If you pre-order)
Its definitely playable in its current state if you just want to mess around with the fighting mechanics and mapping and such as the basics are more or less there, it is not a game as such yet though.
I remember getting this game for free from the NS2 pre-order thing. Good times.
I'm absolutely in love with that blood simulation. Implement in every possible game now please, and send instructions to bethsoft so they can add it to Skyrim.
The blood effects were so good that I felt queasy
Is the price going to rise on release or is it going to stay at $30 on release?
It's only in the alpha stage, now imagine all cool shit they might think of by the time it releases.
I'll be preordering this, among other things I want to buy, when I have a job and more money.

Last I recall, they were using world space normal maps, which use up all three color channels. The alpha channel is being used for colorization a la TF2 paints. Were they object space, then they could use the blue channel for that information. The glorious thing I really want to know is how they manage to get the texels so that they always fall downwards. If you hung one of those rabbits upside down and stabbed him in the belly, it'd dribble down his face and ears, and that's something I've never even seen attempted in a game before, let alone implemented.
I hope he adds multiplayer REALLY soon! I mean I know that's a goal for the full game but sales and gameplay would go up substantially if you could test all this with another person.
Every game needs blood like this. Every game.

Every single update is amazing, these are honestly my favourite developers ever.
I'm going to get this. Hopefully soon, but probably not for a month or two as I am saving up for some other stuff.
Definitely going to pre-order this on saturday when I get my pay check
yeah but dude even for an alpha and the stage it's in, it's solid to play through.
Oh I'm not saying it's unplayable or anything far from it. I just think it would be awesome to test this with a friend. I know it's already in a fun, stable state haha.
Ughhhh is no one seeding the torrent download of the latest alpha, its taking forever. And it's a legit torrent before any of you start. I'll be a good person and seed it when it's finished so no one else has to endure this wait.
This game looks fucking brilliant, I have the first and I absolutely love it. The blood makes me want it even more though. I need this game. Anyone in England purchased this? Currency converters are saying between £18-£19 but Paypal normally charges about £20. I'd just like to know how much I'll need exactly so I can get this damn game.
How do you change the video settings in such?I know you used to change config.ini but I don't know how right now edit:nvm got it
Do you need a really really good computer to run this game?

I would get it, but I don't think I can run it.
I would get it, but I don't think I can run it.
I was thinking the same. The FAQ did state that they will eventually get to the configuration and older computers will probably be able to run it. Hopefully.
Anyone who plays it, how do you make combat moves while armed? I'm with a sword in my hand, holding the right mouse button, but when I click with the left button, it just acts as if I'm not holding anything at all.
I think the only working weapons are the spear, glaive, and Dog broadsword.
Ok, that's what I was doing wrong, but how do I pick them up now? While on the editor, if I drop one of those weapons, my rabbot just takes it, and when I go back to it, he drops and I can't get it to grab the weapon :v: [editline]26th August 2011[/editline] found it out found it out, it's E :v:
