So is this like a spiritual sequel to Lugara? I got Lugara from a Humble Bundle, and I have to say it wasn't very interesting, so I'm not sure what to think about this.

How did I double post 7 minutes apart. I didn't like Lugaru very much because of, well, how low-end it was. I'm not someone who expects the best graphics in everything, but everything was really blurry even on high settings. Sound and immersion were also problems because there was barely any sound effects (as far as I could tell in 2 hours) and the playing spaces were empty except for about 5 trees and some rocks.
Watership Down: The Video Game.
This is a sequel for LugarU It is the most promising indie game so far How can you not like Lugaru, actually?
Uhm, how can someone not like Lugaru? Because some people don't like fighting games where you're supposed to tell the difference between 9 polygons moving 3 inches that way or 7 polygons moving 5 inches the opposite way, and in that 1/5 a second you have to decide what to do and which which awkawardly mapped key to press. To top it off the game combines movement like blocking, dodging, kicking, etc with the same keys used to move around. This creates problems, as sometimes for instance you want to counter a low kick and you end up just crouching, as though your character WANTS a foot to the face. Or you'll try to dodge an attack and instead just spin around and attack the air previously behind you while the enemy lands a punch to the back of your skull. It's sometimes not even possible to tell what the fuck is going on, as there's guaranteed to be a tree or your own model in the way half the time, or hell even another enemy, as though one enemy wasn't annoying enough.
I think the one complain about Lugaru? The combat was too fast.
I want this so bad.
I think the one complain about Lugaru? The combat was too fast.
Turn the difficulty down, it slows combat as well. At the hardest difficulty I remember that level with the three wolves being absolutely crazy, one split-second mistake and your brains would be redecorating the snow, but with some practice it was survivable on the lower difficulties

Instead, buy a big block of concrete and a rope. Attach rope to block of concrete. Throw the rope over a tree branch and start pulling. Be sure to stand underneath the block. Now, let go of the rope.
I hope he adds in the Whale Man.
I pre-ordered. Super pumped.
I hope he adds in the Whale Man.
There's a whale man model in the alpha already iirc.
I remember getting this game for free from the NS2 pre-order thing. Good times.
Funny, I got NS2 for free from preordering this. (it actually was 1:1 pack deal)

If I got the Alpha, I'd probably just end up re-making the multiplayer maps from AC:B
If I got the Alpha, I'd probably just end up re-making the multiplayer maps from AC:B
Good idea. I wonder if someone will actually remake huge cities from different games.
This game looks fucking fantastic. It seems like the first real game where you can have movie-like, dynamic fights. Also the blood they added now looks awesome. I should really preorder this sometime, I had quite some fun with the first one, and this is looking better each update.
The Wolf is a pain in the ass to fight.
I wonder if we shouldn't make a megathread for Overgrowth. There are two videos weekly, and I feel like Wolfire deserves the coverage a permanent FP thread can give it.

Game is awesome, hopefully pre-ordering next month. Also, another cool enemy would be a squirrel, no just kidding, that'd be more for humor.

I don't remember any other animals, though
The first game was great, but I was terrible at it. I couldn't get past the second or third wolf level, with the pack of them in some jungle with treehouses or something, as I remember.

That goddamned wolf killed me with a leg sweep... While I was in the fucking air.
There's a whale man model in the alpha already iirc.
That reminds me: I need to remake that model. I wasn't too happy with it being a statue and all, so I might give it another go.
I just preordered this, it looks amazing. The fighting is so fluid, and this is only an alpha. I can't even imagine what the finished product will be like.
Ok, I gonna cook up a megathread sometime soon. Any ideas for subtitle?
