Not like you could just, yanno, plug a controller in
Then what's the point of buying it on PC if you're going to use a controller anyway? You people keep rating dumb for someone having a different view point and then you use the argument, "WELL ITS UR OPINION HURR HURR." Hypocrites. You guys are acting like a bunch of ignorant PC fanboys. "What?! There's no PC release? Man fuck that then, who cares if the game is actually worth the money and is really fun to play. I WANT IT ON PC WAAAAH."
You people are being pretty immature about there not being a PC version. [editline]28th October 2011[/editline] Adventure games are much better on a console anyway.
There's a difference between an Adventure game and Action adventure. Action adventure would be this game. Adventure would be the monkey island series. Way better adventure games and actually worth the money. [editline]28th October 2011[/editline]
Not necessarily. I Am Alive seems to be more of a 3rd person platformer where you scale buildings and shit, kinda like Uncharted. PC controls for it would be too awkward.
Not really. Space bar and WASD isn't really that awkward.

[editline]28th October 2011[/editline] Adventure games are much better on a console anyway.
Tell that to me playing on a 40" inch TV in actual 1080p with a wireless PS3 controller and the only example of a console nearby being a dusty xbox 360 that's been off for weeks.
He's saying that controllers would be better suited to a game like uncharted. While thats partly true, it only really applies if the developer doesn't spend time on making it so that the movement controls arent awkward with the keyboard.
Trailer released 1 month ago. [editline]28th October 2011[/editline] Some parts are in first person, while others are in third person.
Huh, it looks like the jumping is done in third person but when you start aiming a weapon it goes into first person. This might be decent - good, perhaps. I'd check out the reviews first, though.
Then what's the point of buying it on PC if you're going to use a controller anyway?
gee maybe because it costs about $20 to use a 360 controller on a PC and around $200 to buy an actual 360 being forced to own multiple consoles to play games that look fun (unless the technology prohibits it - which in the case of console exclusives, it doesn't) in this day and age is fucking stupid.
The only real reason to buy a console if you had a decent pc would be exclusives and even at that, the PS3 has been having way better exclusives for years now. Sony just has way better first party games then the 360 does in my opinion.

And I care because I don't want to play it on the console, I want to play it on the PC. If they can't be fucked to make a PC version so that people get that choice, then fuck them, they're not getting my money, they have to deserve this shit. Making platform-exclusive games is a fucked up system and should die already (as should ubisoft)

How about people who just have a PC that has better specs than a console ? How about people who like to have smaller games on PC ? It's not even a double standard there, you're completely making shit up and pissing on people because they have a different opinion, because it's cool and edgy to hate random people who have an opinion than very sightly resembles what an actual fanboy would say. Plus, Ubisoft doesn't deserve any penny for that. As much potential as this game has, it still got butchered by a shitty policy of console-exclusive games, privileging big franchise titles and forcing the use of already over-exploited engines. The concept of this game was fantastic and it deserved a full scale PC+consoles release without taking off so much and changing everything to make it grittier than what it needs to be, sticking to the good old "serious games are grey and brown" syndrome pretty much all recent games seem to suffer from.

That's what I like about consoles: the games are tailored to you and your device rather than the other way 'round, so everyone can run a game and you never need to worry about it. A while back before I had a decent setup, the only reason for me to get a computer game were mods - and even then I heard it was possible to get them for XBox with some complicated trickery.

If you have a decent PC, chances are that the graphics will be better than on a console for one. Secondly is modding capabilities. I would never dream of buying a game such as Fallout NV or Skyrim on a console, purely because of the massive modding scene and how much modding actually extends the game on the PC. There's no need to get your panties in a twist dude, I was just saying. [editline]29th October 2011[/editline] That, and it doesn't look like its worth the money. I'd probably buy it if I saw it on steam on offer though
When did we stop discussing I Am Alive?
Around the time all the british people are in bed

I should have the right to choose, and if the publisher decides not to make a PC version, I don't get that choice. Therefore I also have the right to complain about it. [editline]29th October 2011[/editline] Also, that's not a "Fact", that's just a completely baseless assumption on your behalf. Learn what a "Fact" is, and we'll talk.

I thought this game looks pretty good. It sounds interesting, though I'll wait for reviews first. I'm surprised it's an Arcade/PSN title now.
Then why the fuck do you own an Xbox for? For Xbox Exclusives?
Bought it because I thought I'd use it, now I don't use it at all. I've little interest in most of the Xbox exclusives (That I know of). I'm keeping it because I might take it to university; I don't plan on taking my PC. After that I'll probably sell it.
