Nah, they already have like the worst possible drop pattern. On another note, I have purchased 42 doubloons (ten bucks) thereby securing my account and getting a free furniture thingy as a bonus. I've put more than half of that money towards buying my first boat, the rest I used to buy my friend a bangin' outfit.

I know it sounds strange, but honestly if you can deal with the fact that almost everything involves puzzles, it's put together a hell of a lot better than most, if not all, MMOs. The economy, customization, and PvP are all linked together beautifully. Seriously, give it a try.

Yep, it takes a while on doubloon oceans since you're expected to buy some at some point. It gets a lot faster as you go, though.
Argh I abandoned my beloved Sage ocean and switched to Vidridian. Name's Kruz in-game, I bought a Dhow to see what is the rage with all of these new ships.
So I was the only one only playing this for the puzzles back in the day. I only got a bandana and no ship :v:

I played this for a little bit a few years back, I got bored of it though. I may install it to try it out again.
Ahhh I remember this game. Was SHIT at a lot of the puzzles when playing against other players so I resorted to only playing Hold 'em. Turned 3 doubloons(I don't remember if I'm spelling that right, it's been years) into 600k gold(pieces of eight or whatever they're called)
I need more people to join midnight... subscription is much cheaper if your online everyday by the way.

Cheaper than free? Doubloon oceans are the way to go for anybody who doesn't truly live and breathe Puzzle Pirates.
Unlike some people we can't spend every day on PP. It gets really boring..
