Simcity 4 is kind of the best city-building game ever, right? The soundtrack is the usual Maxis quality, AKA excellent. I really liked all the songs (Until they repeated so much that it got annoying, though), but there's an odd one. One that is unticked by default, so you may only hear it if you bother to go to music settings and enable it. And if you enable it... I shouldn't have listened to this at 2 AM
I'll bet you this was activated when there was a "special" disaster. Here's my theory: So you know how there are fairly regular disasters, and then there are the rather...well, sci-fi disasters? I'm thinking this was for a horror disaster. Think about it, you're going about making your city, when all of the sudden there's a riot down-town. You think "well okay, I know how to deal with a riot, I'll just call the police down to that location". You get the riot police down there, but something seems off. You zoom in to the location where the riot is, and it almost looks like it's... growing. Sure enough, you see the rioters growing in number, and then you notice something else. It almost looks like they're... attacking the riot police?! Well, you've never seen that in a regular SC4 riot! That's when you realize that it's not a regular riot at all. They're zombies! That or it's the soundtrack for after a nuclear explosion. It does sound sort of Fallout-ish. [editline]15th July 2011[/editline] Here, have some SC4 creepypasta: http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/Primordial_Dream

Read that on youtube. I found it a rather interesting read, faked or not.
I don't know why, maybe it was the videos my brother showed me when I was younger (screamers), my ears always get what feels like super sensitive and I swear, no matter the most unlikelihood of it happening, that a screamer or something is gonna pop out of nowhere and scare me. I used to always think of this at scary points in games and such, this helped me avoid a sleepless night when I got MK9. uggh, i was so scared to do anything when I heard about the Krypt monster, it didn't help that it was at 3 am in the morning, I was LITERALLY to scared to turn off my PS3 and had to get earplugs and close my eyes and go unplug the cord. I did not touch the PS3 for a good 6 days and that's something when I listen to my music on it when I go to bed.
HOLY SH- I'm not the only one! That crowbar...eugh THE SCREAM EDIT: Also. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/KkPr7.png[/thumb] dfsjfsf DARN GET A LIFE MOD. These buggers are not just spiders, but spiders with HAIRY LEGS! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEglO1lbWMU&feature=player_detailpage#t=223s
Food for thought: In Get A Life, the Poison versions of these things are smaller reskins of the Poison Headcrab. They also don't pause to scream at you before lunging. Oh yes, and there are more of them in vents than normal spiders throughout the game.
When I was seven and i played through ravenholm from Half life 2 those fast zombies man, and that corpse falls when you go up the stairs, my reaction NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE (OPENS MENU GOES TO QUIT GAME) NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE
You were 7 when you played Half Life 2? That makes you less than 13.
I was mildly chilled when I first played against the small spiders in Dark Messiah, but the big one and every one after the first don't scare me.
wasnt there a mod for dark messiah, what turns the spiders into pigs. http://darkmessiah.filefront.com/file/NoSpider_Patch;105599
This patch replaces all spiders in Dark Messiah with pigs (except for the optional Queen Spider, see below for notes). The pigs look like pigs and behave like pigs - They will not attack you and they will take a while to kill due to their bacon toughness. For some reason unknown to me, they are all jet black with shiny skin. I guess it's some technical issue with colour palettes or character texturing (Who cares?!). There's still a slightly scary element to the patched version: Walking past jet black pigs glued to the walls and cieling makes you think "Those weren't supposed to be pigs!". Just keep walking or shoot them off the walls for laughs. One one occasion, you will be locked in a room with about 10 pigs to get a certain artifact. You'll have to kill all the pigs on that occasion - I hope you have as much fun as I did with that! In fact, after battling my way to that part of the game, it was this very scenario that gave me the idea to assemble this patch.
The first time I turned on System Shock 2, and met a zombie for the first time. I quit the game.

This guy from The Sims. He gave me nightmares in my childhood , In all premade houses there were his paintings, and he always came to you. I have deleted all my savegames , and was searching for his painting to delete in houses for hours. Sims ( especially the second one) is extremely creepy if you dig deep in it Stuff like : Haunted grounds , Premade character memories , vampires and werewolfes I used to read EVERY premade character memories , and tried to respawn dead characters to find his stories There was also a grandfather , who never had sex, but had 2 or 3 children Also , EVERY CHARACTER DID HAVE HIS FIRST LOVE WITH SOME "Mysterious stranger" Oh , oh and the monster eyes in sims 3. God , this game is really creepy You got the idea
Are they that fast in game? It looks like a bug of some kind
No, they ARE that fast... Good thing they only appear far in the game and not too often.
Are they that fast in game? It looks like a bug of some kind
Yep. canonically they're using the stasis modules built into their suits to make themselves faster than you. [editline]15th July 2011[/editline] I wish they were in dead space 2...
The zombies in AOM scared me just because their head twitched so damn fast.

I found the most scary creepypasta ever http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/Terraria_leaked_version I was just browsing for some creepypasta and found this. Are moderators sleeping? [editline]16th July 2011[/editline] Have anyone actually ever implemented some REALLY good creepy stuff in mods? I mean like making some five second weapon mod , and implementing some creepy npcs( which follow you , for example) without telling about them. [editline]16th July 2011[/editline] Whats wrong with the slowpunch , It shows me , that I'm double posting , but after refreshing its gone
I don't know if this has been posted but, in singularity, the game remembers that its supposed to be somewhat frightening closer to the end. It throws in a screamer out of nowhere. Skip to 6:30 I think that Helloween had the most fitting reaction.
Nightmare House....
Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines The quest you do for Therese near the start. Mostly just he vase that flies at you as you turn a corner. Even when I expect it, it still scares the shit out of me.
