I have always, for almost as long as I remember, been scared of water in games. It has gotten that bad that I'm afraid of playing things like LEGO Pirates of the Carribean, because if you swim too far out there comes a shark to eat you. I know it's there but I just try to avoid deep waters, which is a problem when you are playing as pirates. :saddowns:

I don't know if anyone remembers but in the game Star Wars Dark Forces, there was a level in some sewers where you had to swim through toxic water and there was an octupus like alien that always swam behind you and killed you. It looks horrible. I'll try to find a picture.

I jumped in there with a crowbar and beat the ever loving shit out of it! Not so scary once you realize there is a bug whereby if you hold crouch in the water it gets stuck under you just in crowbar range (and sometimes you crowbar goes all rapid fire and shit too) So it's rather easy to kill in the water. In fact I will go make a goddamn video of it!

Things don't scare me in games anymore :( Only thing that accomplished a feeling of uneasiness was the first lab in SoC, with the poltergeist doing all this shit to mess with you like stomping on the concrete floor above you and throwing boxes.

On Resident Evil 4 when a zombie suddenly come out of a chamber bursting in flames. Motherfucker almost gave me an heart attack.

But I was terrified of swimming in that game, since you swam really slow and got swarmed by piranhas or something

Just finished the nepcomm mission in fallout new vegas with the invisible night kin, i was ransacking a room when one of them uncloaked behind me, i don't know if he was jerking it or not but his hand started moving up and down real fast and he died. Pretty fucking scary
