[release]It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.[/release]
There was this indie game out there called Mondo Medicals or something like that. It was purposefully filled with bad grammar and possibly spelling, I don't remember much about it... But after every time you beat a level... Oh... Sweet... Jesus.............. I... I can't even look up a video. Someone else post it... Not to mention the creepy ambient breathing of your character, the bland grey of your surroundings... And people with TVs for heads? What is this? Edit: Bothered to get a let's play of it really quick...
The ghost from Mickey and the Magic Mirror for gamecube. Just the thought of this ghost creeping on you through the whole game is eerie. I think there is a screamer in the game too.

Watch at 5:43
holy fucking shit that's creepy as hell it is definitely the limited perspective that does it as well, especially since you have no idea what's coming next.
[release]It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.[/release] That text scares me. Fuck you guys and your "visuals". :D
That fucking game. If you continue you actually get eaten by a Grue.
Not sure if this was posted but these things in RTCW Oh look dead scientists. Dem nazis sure are bad OH GOD WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT IT'S EATING MY CORPSE
Just a picture, but if you're coming from the top of the stairs, all you do is see white eyes peaking over the railing. White eyes mean monster, mostly bloodsucker since they go invisible.
I guess that's why it confused me, i've never played S.T.A.L.K.E.R :v:
Who here remembers the Spooky chapter in Conker's Bad Fur Day? Looking back at it, it's still a damn hilarious chapter, just set in a darker setting. However, when I was 5, it took me around 3 months to complete it. Too bad the remake completely ruined it putting Conker in a Van Helsing outfit.
Yes, you get cookies. [editline]20th July 2011[/editline] I remember I just shot an rpg at it and it died.
I did the same, but it was a grenade launcher. "Alright, it's about time for the chimera to show up." (starts to hear growling) "Alright, time to go." (Thing starts jumping all over the place) "Holy shit what do I do what do I do oh god panic" (Shoots grenade) (Chimera flies a few feet before falling to the ground dead) "well that was easy..."
When I was like 4/5 years old, Dopefish from commander keen 4 scared the crap out of me for some reason. It hit the ground under the chimera, so if it was the gta4 rpgs, it would have probably slid under it and blow up the fence.
Tried out Mondo Medicals. Didn't find it all that creepy. But I got nauseous, about to throw up at "Dissorientations 5: Walls You Can't See" and had to quit.
I played yume nikki, good god it didn't scare me but the ending got me sad and I still feel like shit.
I know I'm probably late with this, but I didn't understand people saying that the missing frequencies with Lavender Town would cause them to get headaches, and extremely anxious. Now, being 3 AM for me, and listening to the Song of Healing reversed made me finally understand what people meant. I can't listen more than halfway through without getting incredibly anxious.
The reason that lavender town song makes you anxious is because its a binaural beat. Its designed to fuck with your head.

[editline]21st July 2011[/editline] WHY AM I READING THIS THREAD AT 3 IN THE MORNING
Just hearing the guy get startled like that, not even from a screamer or anything, makes me feel worried about his mental health after playing that game :C If it was any other game he was playing it would be funny but... :pwn:
This is a combination of seriously awesome/seriously fucking scary Especially when you'd never seen those fuckers until then.
Wall paintings are scary as fuck.
I dunno man, with that lion I'm just waiting for some sunglasses to fall on his head and a big sign popping up saying ''Deal with it''
Is there a website for all video game creepypastas? Also, a thing that scared me was the part in Call of Cthulhu where you had to escape the hotel.I was really close to crying, it was just so scary when you had to close all the doors and the guys that were chasing you.
Sheesh, read through the whole thread without pissing my pants, the scooby doo screamer made me jump out of the window though. Jesus fucking christ. I'm scared of limited vision in the water where OUT OF NOWHERE ICHTHYOSAUR OH GOD HELPfliaudfvnadfo And I'm also scared of gigantic enemies/bosses, I was terrified in Serious Sam when fighting Ugh-Zan The Third. And that boss in Painkiller gave me nightmares. The Toy Palace level from the Rugrats game creeped me out when I was young.
Once, I went on my merry way to play Animal Crossing after I rented it from the local game store. I'd been playing around for a few days, being rather fond of it. Then one day I turned the game on and this guy: tells me that my memory card is corrupt and needs to be formatted. It didn't exactly scare me, but it left me with a sense of overwhelming dread. He was just sitting there morbidly playing his guitar as I sat in shock. [sub]On the bright side, I was only using that memory card exclusively for Animal Crossing. Still lost my town, though.[/sub] Anyone else have any horrifying "save data is corrupt" stories? [editline]21st July 2011[/editline]
I can't find a video of it, but in the original xbox if you stayed in the main menu without putting any games in it or doing anything for a couple minutes it would play some random whispering. Sure scared me the first time it happened.
Reminds me of when I left the CD drive open on a Mac from like 400 B.C. and then it started yelling at me to close it.
Time to go run around rooms in silent hill for about 2 hours to open a fucking door
