They arent that scary, for a starter they are slow as hell.

So in stalker soc when you meet the first controller you are given three choices: 1. Shoot that bastard 2. Run with soiled suit 3. Get your mind pulled out of your body. When i first saw that fucker (i knew he was going to be there) he psy-attacked and i was confused so he killed me in 5 seconds. Take 2. Then i tried to shoot the bastard, he still killed me in 5 seconds. Take 3. I tried grenades, almost the same happened. I threw a grenade at him but it didnt damage him. So i decided to run. I climbed the ladder outside and... It was a false exit. I was stuck with a controller nearing me and the screen was turning red.

I just finished X-18 in SHoC for the first time. That was probably one of the most tense moments in a game I've played since Amnesia.

Xenians porting in in Half-Life would almost always make me jump just because of how loud and sudden the sound is.
