I've been playing through the first F.E.A.R, and most of the time it doesn't really scare me at all, I find it to be a pretty standard FPS in most ways. But whenever I come across the invisible ninjas (apparently they're called "replica assassins"), they scare the living shit out of me, they always appear when I'm completely chilled out and not expecting them at all. My reaction to them is almost like this: [img]http://www.shrani.si/f/1z/ib/31PwOZOH/1/166koz4.gif[/img], followed by clenching my buttocks together really tightly and spraying lead at them like crazy, accompanied with a lot of swearing.

I remember a friend saying it was the scariest game he ever played. He wanted me to play it. I played it. Wasn't scared once. Really fun game though. But not scary. What's scary about an invisible ninja if you can shoot it in the face once and it dies?

I remember seeing that scene on the net when I was a lad, pretty terrifying to see a guy being turned into a Strogg, kind of a super-gory Iron Man title sequence. (the cartoon intro with the awesome rock music and the buff Tony Stark)

I always found the chase part in HL2 to be annoying. When you get beaten by the cops it's pretty terrifying.

Also, when you get a weapon in bioshock, I felt like now I was vulnerable, because knowing popular games, you're unkillable unless you can fight back.
