The guy at the top is Daegon introduced along with Taven in Armegeddon.
I'm so glad all the new characters (Mavado, Hsu Hao, Daegon, etc) are gone. They were so boring.

I feel like I'm whining and griping way too much about the same thing, but could someone please help me with the [sp]Kung Lao vs. Shang Tsung + Quan Chi[/sp] fight in story mode? I've been been beating the last few double battles by just spamming projectiles, but I don't have any decent projectiles with this guy at all

If you're not above it, just bring the difficulty down. I think you get the same amount of koins no matter what the difficulty.

I don't know why but Goro/Kintaro were surprisingly easy to beat with C. Sub Zero and Kung Lao, maybe it's the fact that they don't block as much as normal characters as they're predictable. The hardest fights in the game for me were fighting Kitana and Jade, than Cryax and Sektor. 1 v 2 fights really grinded by fucking gears. The one versus Smoke and Johnny cage wasn't so hard at all though, some characters just blend very well with each other. This was playing on Medium the entire game.
Also I'm still looking for someone to do private matches with on xbox live, PM your gamertag and I can get on right away.

Well I decided to get Mortal Kombat. Being somewhat new to the genre of fighting I'm not that good at using combo and being fast with the controller. Would you guys be able to recommend an "easy-to-use" character or tips at adding up combos and such?

I thought the fights with Goro and Kintaro were the easiest ones in the game.

I think Smoke is an easy to use character, has a few simple moves that are easy to combo with.

No, you practice with different ones until you find one that suits you. There's no cookie cutter template for fighters.
Does anyone happen to know the distance you need for Sub-Zero's stage fatality? No matter what I try I always just end up bitch slapping the enemy or not getting it done right.

They show up randomly. Unlucky me got it as soon as I bought something from there. I still only have 1% complete in there because I'm a pussy.

I believe there is a warning sound that it might appear, I'm not sure. As I was travelling I would always hear some sort of running or slight munching sound at a high speed. I've managed to avoid the screamer by always going to another section whenever I heard it and buying something real fast.
I'm still scared though so I only have like 2 things in each area.

I hear those sounds a lot but haven't had anything happen. I just assumed it was ambient noise.
I suck ass at fighting games and I got beat by this 12 year old who was just button mashing with Scorpion.
I now have every alt costume except for Mileena's third one. :buddy:
