Gonna pick this up today. I never touched a Mortal Kombat since Mortal Kombat Trilogy, but this one looks so solid and so brilliant, I can't say no to it.
Damn, with 115k koins, I bought my way from challenge 14 up to challenge 250 or so. Now I have to go back and do all of them.
After 100 tries I finally beat Story mode
Holy fuck Shao Kahn's a bitch. Took me forever to beat him, but I did it.
Now I completely rape as Raiden.

It only had a huge lag-event at least once, the rest of the time was pretty smooth (as I was grinded against the walls and cement in every match.) I only have Sub-Zero's moves list semi-memorized so with all the other characters I was playing I was just smashing buttons.
Maybe I'm missing something but I don't understand [sp]how so many characters died by Sindel when she barley did anything, like all she did was punch Stryker in the face and push Cyber Sub-Zero[/sp]
Can some one tell me, or make a video showing how to do the L2 + R2 X-Ray move?
I just can't seem to fucking do it.
My Brother - In - Law came over today, after bragging about how good he did as Scorpion in the Demo, and he couldn't pull off the "GET OVER HERE" move that he was using in the Demo, I asked how to do the L2 + R2 move, and he didn't have any freaking idea. I'm wondering if it is my controllers, or my game rip. :\

[sp] They all decided to attack one at a time like fools. Plus since Sindel was strong in the first place followed by attaining the soul of Shang Tsung, she becomes pretty damn powerful. I'm not surprised she one-hit Stryker and broke his face in.[/sp]

Um, when you have a full meter at the bottom (3 bars), just press the two shoulder buttons (L2+R2/LT+RT). And if your brother in law can't pull off Back, Back, Square, then how the hell does he play at all? That's probably the easiest move besides teleports.

You just fight until your X-ray bar fills completely and the X lights up and then press R2 and L2 at the same time.
If that doesn't work, something is wrong with your controller or your game.

I have only been able to get into 1 ranked match, and that disconnected halfway through.
Finally beat Shao Kahn [sp]as Raiden. As far as I can see, the easiest way is just to constantly teleport, upper-cut, jump back and repeat. I got hit a few times, but after a few tries I nailed it and it was easy sailing after that. It's cheap as hell, but then again they made Shao Kahn basically the cheapest character ever, so I don't feel bad about 'cheating'.[/sp]
Well I have absolutely no hope of ever getting good at this game, I can't even beat Kintaro on fucking beginner on Arcade Ladder.
I decided to try Test Your Luck on hard. I got put against Ermac, he was Overpowered, we had health regen, and I couldn't block. :emo:

It works like a slot machine. The first bar picks your enemy, and the rest are buffs, debuffs, stage events, etc.

IT selects a random character for you to fight and then random modifiers like No Blocking or No Special Moves or Rainbow Kombat (colored blood), etc etc.

Kinda like a slot machine, first slot is your opponent, then the others are the conditions(armless kombat, no heads, danger/one hit k.o.s or kills, fire comes from floor).

I think Armless Kombat means that you can't use punches or throwing specials, but what does Headless mean? Its not like that many characters have attacks that involve the head.
