How the fuck do you beat Shao Kahn on the final battle?
Is it good to start playing online even if you are new, cuz i might start playing with a friend with tag mode, though i don't want to be decimated :(

Is it possible to invite a friend over Xbox Live so you can play tag team together? I'd like to do that without having to do splitscreen-esque/local things just to do tag team with friends.
Don't know if you guys know this but, After you hit the Start button to select an Alternate Costume If you hit start again on Costume 1 or 2, it gives you an alternate color. For example, if you do it to Johnny's Tux, it becomes a black tux instead of light blue. Some characters have some sweet color changes, like Stryker.
That's fucking awesome. Wonder if it works with the Klassic Kostumes. [editline]29th April 2011[/editline] I like Kung Lao more than Lu Kang.

Why did they include Sheeva and not one of the better multi-armed kombatants?!
Goro and Kintaro are both going to be DLC, Kintaro, I believe, was already confirmed. I want Shao Kahn though. THATS THE FIFTH FUCKING PAGE KING ARAHRAGH
Holy shit, I just finished the challenge where you have to beat Scorpion, but he can only be hurt in a small ring of light that pops up from time to time. Took me about 2 sweaty, long, frustrating hours. I think I'm on an adrenaline rush.
Goro and Kintaro are both going to be DLC, Kintaro, I believe, was already confirmed. I want Shao Kahn though.
There is the only reason I would ever want to play as Shao Kahn. It is a damn good reason though.

Another groping? Gotta agree with you^ Sonya: IF you wanna get to Raiden, you have to go through me first !!! Kahn: RIGHT !! (Goes through her) Sonya(If she could still reply):......and......I......don't....m-mean...literally....!!!
To those who want the game and/or don't want to buy at full price. It will be $40 at Toys R Us next week and $30 if you have the $10-off coupon taken from the in store magazine. It's like them handing you a free ten bucks, so go for it.
Damn, shoulda waited. Oh well.
Man, despite how annoying he is to fight, you have to respect how much of a badass Shao Kahn is.
I'm absolutely awful at this game. playing on beginner and I'm still getting dicked. Also the other day i had 7 reels on test your luck, but now i only have 4 and i cant remember how to fix it :( Oh and if anyone knows how i unlock the extra characters i would enjoy knowing that information because im currently confused by EVERYTHING
Seems like there's no difference in difficulty settings (at least for the final boss fight).

As for the reels in test your luck, when you're at the character select screen, press 'Y' (if you're on Xbox). It says at the bottom of the screen what to press. That allows you to set the number. If you're doing it in challenge tower though, you can't change how many you have.
The fights will gradually get harder and harder as you progress, even if you're playing on beginner. I think this applies to everything.
I have the weirdest boner right now.
I should start the challenge tower again. I'm basically waiting for PSN now.
Havent actually played a fighter since Tekken Tag Tournament, nothing has really appealed to me since then. But this, it looks good and the kind of figher I can get into, and has had nothing but good reviews. Im just worried about its replayability? Can anyone tell me what sort of lifespan I can expect to get out MK? Once you've completed the story mode, is it worth or is the drive even there to complete it with the other characters? Is the online play good?
Well ShaoKahn is so hard because he's a boss after all. He's supposed to kick your ass most of the time. I like games where bosses actually act like bosses, not some pussy fast dying fags. Even if they're annoying, it just fits more. This comes from a man who killed him only on like 13th try. On easy
If Shao Khan comes close to you, you are pretty much guaranteed fucked.

Beginner - 2nd Try Easy - 4th Try (Almost lost, had like, 1 health) Medium - 4th Try (Got lucky I guess, had more health) Hard -7th fucking try oh my god he is the cheapest bastard on the earth Expert - 19th FUCK YOU SHAO KAHN FUCK YOU

The pro's maybe will only take 10 hours or less. Mortal Kombat will also include several mini-games, like the classic Test Your Might, and Test Your Sight, as well as the new Test Your Strike and Test Your Luck. There is The Challenge Tower which will feature massive 300 levels. That tower alone is about 20 hours (because I actually delayed a lot of time on the tilting mission part and of course they give you a shitty character to do it) It also has arcade ladder mode style. There are also fatality training which is where you choose your character and opponent and perform your fatalities on them. All in all it's a FUCKING AWESOME game. Not so sure bout online play cause never actually tried it plus PSN is down.
If Shao Khan comes close to you, you are pretty much guaranteed fucked.
This is why you have characters with teleports.
Shao Khan is easy if you can time your jumps right, hope over his hid then knock him into the air and juggle. If you're Smoke, you can do A ,down+X, y, forward dash, A, Y, forward dash, A, Y, down back Y, air grab. Does something like %30 damage to a normal character, it's a Shao Khan raper if you can land it.

Or is it the type of game to warrant a weeks rental and then not really touch again.
I guess it depends on if you have people to play it with. I got a ton of friends I can bring the game over to and have fun playing games against each other all night. But if you aren't gonna play with anyone, rent it for a couple of weeks.
