Completed that one yesterday, pretty sure your health replenishes every time you defeat someone. Took me a few tries, just watch out for the pounds, grabs and jumps and punish them every time with a combo/uppercut

Just beat a guy online who was scorpion I played as smoke. I beat him the last few moves by smoke bombing and air-grabbing. He then sent me a message, I thought it'd be a nice match or something but I forgot I was on xbox live, he said
'same move over and over = no skill'
To which I said
'Actually, it takes no skill to be easily beaten by the same move over and over..'

No but seriously, you are right. People are often calling moves "cheap", but there is no such thing as a cheap move. You just need to deal with it, this is how it is in EVERY fighting game and always there are people like him bitching about it.

If your character has a teleport, please don't overdo it. Nobody wants to play Teleport Kombat 9.

It sucks when they teleport into an attack, like, if im raiden, i can teleport and fly all around the god damn place but atleast they can counter me.
Sure you can block but usually they do it when you're trying to be a good player and fucking combo.

I never knew that you could cancel into specials just by inputting the directions really quickly after pressing the button, for example as Nightwolf you can do: back+Y, Y, X, down - forward. If you do this fast enough you can miss out entering another X for his axe uppercut. For me, this makes it easier to do longer combos, as I don't find myself tripping over myself trying to hit all the buttons. Hope this helps someone.

Press start to select costumes

This is due to 'negative edge' - when you let go of the button it counts as another button press. So when you're releasing the X button it's counting as another X input, letting you perform the upwards axe slash. It's pretty handy for long combos!
