I'm failing to see how anyone managed to fireball spam Shao Kahn in Story mode, nigh impossible.
Also Shang Tsung is actually fun to use, just annoying to attempt combos with the fire skulls when you have a sucky ass d-pad.
I tend to use the analogue stick (on my PS3) for moving, teleporting and uppercuts. It can be funny when I go wrong with that last one, though. As Raiden I just tend to show people jazz hands.

nah this is very accurate. Though I think the new Xbox 360 controller with the twisty d-pad could work well with Mortal Kombat.

ermac is so awesome. just played multiplayer for the first time with him this morning on the ps3...ended up playing for hours. I'm 77-12 in player matches but I don't really feel that good. I can land some 8-9 hit combos pretty consistently but I tried playing someone that was 452-34 (he was liu kang) and I got my fucking ass handed to me. feels bad man

Xbox is shit for something as fast spaced as like MvC3, i have no problem in mortal kombat however, except sometime dashing.
Also I think i'll main either smoke or stryker cuz smoke is anti-zonning and all stryker special attracks have amazing range/damage.

Quan Chi is not good at all when doing combos, he seems more like a hit and run character.
Shang Tsung is not good at all without his morphs.

I use the analog stick on the xbox controller and the only problem i get is, as i said before, some difficulty to dash foward.
I didn't realize this game had such a big following on FP.
I've always loved Reptile in MK, and in this game he's so much fun. The juggle potential he gets out of his slow/fast orbs makes for an insanely fun character to play.

JF..Y, Y.Y.X > Medium Ground Skull > Far Ground Skull, Enhanced Close/Medium/Far Ground Skull, Hold Back 1-3 seconds, Close Ground Skull, Dash Forward, F+B.A, Enhanced Soul Steal.

how good a character is is not defined by their ability to make ~sweet combos~, despite what many scrubs believe.
