No actually I am not, I was trying to get close and he kept using the fans and even if I blocked he would do that glide to the other side and keep doing the same thing. I couldn't get close no matter what I tried.

Find combos that start with mid hits or have them ear the beginning because you can't crouch block mids.

you really really are doing it wrong
1) stryker (not striker lol) is not a character who gets in. he is a zoning character, which means he sits at the other end of the screen and makes it very difficult for the other person to reach him. he does not have the tools (teleports, invincible or superarmoured moves) to get in himself, and his combos are pretty weak-ass. to beat someone spamming fans then you should spam your own gunshots, which are extremely fast and should beat out pretty much everything they have to throw at you. i think his EX roll throw is armoured too? you could try using that.
2) if you can't beat someone who is using the same move over and over again then you're pretty terrible! but if you want to get better, boot up training mode and set the dummy to spam that move repeatedly. (i forget if mk9 has a playback feature? it might not iirc. get a friend to spam it in versus otherwise) then practice ways of getting past it.
3) it makes you look pretty stupid if you bitch about easy to beat shit. just ask 'how can I deal with fan spam?' rather than 'ugh this fucking fag was using the same move over and over, what a dick, please nerf it'.

I found your entire post funny to be quite honest, and about the practicing part. I don't need it but I do use it to refresh my combos every time I play the game. And to be honest here sir, you have been nothing but a asshole towards me and I think you should stop saying things that weren't needed in the first place. I do learn new combos almost every time I play the game. So my entire post was just a big "Fuck You"
Now anyways, one more thing to add. I spelled it striker cause it actually looks alot better that way, don't have to be a grammar Nazi about a word that is in the game that spells it a different way then I spelled it. And his combos are actually rather good.
