What really worries me is that whenever Tanya is mentioned on Boon's Twitter, he NEVER denies her being in the game. That's what he did with Rain.
But characters like Havik or Bo are just shot down with a simple "Not likely" "Small chance".
He just avoids answering.
I also think Chameleon would be fucking awesome but I really doubt it's happening.

All that we know about him is that he worked for Kahn at one point, and wants to be the champion of Mortal Kombat. It's not even confirmed if he's a Saurian like Reptile and Khameleon, or if he's just oddly similar to them/another humanoid-construct-minion made by Kahn.
His Nintendo replacement has more characterization than him. Hell, [i]Meat[/i] has more characterization than him.

So there are people angry about Freddy Krueger getting in? What are the reasons being listed? Because he seems to fit in rather well from my perspective. He's an undead human turned demonic entity, like Scorpion and Noob. He consumes souls like Shang Tsung, and draws power from the improbability of dreams like Havik draws from chaos. And he "resides" in a metaphysical dimension which is always a couple blinks away; no matter who, where, or [i]when[/i] you are.
It's actually kind of hard to think of a horror character that could wedge himself into MK [i]better[/i] than ol' Krueger. The only other option I can think of off the top of my head is the [i]Hellraiser[/i] Cenobites showing up as an Orderrealm/Netherrealm hybrid race.
