As long as it doesn't have nanomachines like FoxDie as plot devices I'm looking forward to this. Seriously I hated FoxDie above all, which made the nano-less MGS3 my favourite PS2 game of all time.

I would just really love PC editions...I'm not a console type at all. Metal gear solid 3 was the best, it's only reason I keep my PS2 at all. (And because it runs shitty on an emulator) It was just the right mixture of story cutscenes and action, most of the other games didn't get the balance quite on the same level.

MGS4 was disappointing to me, so hopefully this will be better.

These games are one of the reasons why I regret not having a console. Even though I'm a bit scared I would get lost with the story (I came to this conclusion only from hearing reviewers making fun of the complex story) they seem like very well-written games and with [I]solid[/I] gameplay. I also consider the last fight between Snake and Ocelot in MGS4 to be possibly the best duel in video game history. And MGS 5 would be a different game, it's not that Rising title with Raiden?

I wonder if they'll take a cue from MG rising and release it on the PC as well.

He should just remake Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2.

Thinking the only viable scenarios are: Metal Gear remake Vietnam for Naked Snake WW2 with the Cobra Unit Between 2/4 is pointless since Snake did fuck all then plus that's when Rising takes place. After MGS4 is also pointless unless they created a completely different set of characters etc though I don't see what threat there could be since really it was all over then.

Another one? I love the MGS-saga but I feel like Kojima is really pushing it too far. I wish he would come up with a new series instead of just complicating the plot further. It will be interesting to see what he comes up with nevertheless. A remake of MG1 and/or 2 perhaps, or a game set in WWII where you play as The Boss- complete with the Cobras and Nazi Metal Gears?

The Metal Gear where Big Boss is the enemy and you kill him as Solid Snake. It'd be fucking amazing if we get to play those 2 first Metal Gears with the graphics of today.

It was really more about the story than anything.

I remember playing Metal Gear 1 on my mobile phone. I kept like tins of canned food in my room after that... j/k shit was fun though. plus the ending where you fought the metal gear was badass... and you had to remember the proper combination of left foot/right foot to plant the C4.
