Are you talking about The Run or Porsche Unleashed?
That's a false conclusion. They may as well just be using the rendering portion of the engine, not any actual physics.
I saw a mountain explode, the only conclusion to draw is that you can throw tnt out of your car to try and obstruct the path of your rivals.
The helicopter was from the mob

Why would the mob...?
Fuck it I don't care.
Need for Speed: The Interactive Movie - "Press X to not die" edition
It looks as if my post in April was preemptive, but I would rather have ricer gang crap then this. Where did the old games, like The first hot pursuit go? just driving a supercar on the road, no worrys at all, just going as fast as you can. And why do they use terrible generic orchestral soundtracks for everything now? Its damned annoying, especially when game reviewers call the soundtrack "groundbreaking" and "incredible" when its something we've all heard a billion times over.
Sorry about the massive rant, but I grew up with this series, and I hate what it's become.
- Rant about new NFS games being all tuned and shit -
Er, the Old need for speed did come back, sorta with Hot Pursuit 2010.
Er, the Old need for speed did come back, sorta with Hot Pursuit 2010.
It did, a little, and it was helped by the fact that they designed certain areas after certain tracks in hot pursuit 1 and 2, but the gameplay was the gameplay of burnout: paradise. I really like how they acknowledge that the people who like the hot pursuit games still exist, but they really didn't do that great a job at resurrection the hot pursuit series. And also, terrible licensed soundtrack.
And also, terrible licensed soundtrack.
Bullseye.
Bullseye.
I know, right? They should just (if it is at all possible) recruit Rom Di Prisco and Matt Ragan and have them make a soundtrack for the next NFS game that will cause nostalgia for an entire generation.
I want my Underground 3. :(

I don't want ricer crap, and you should feel bad for wanting to see nice cars ruined with stupid decals and rims and spoilers the size of a airplane.

No he shouldn't.

Because your way is the only way to play right?
Although NFS is a mediocre blandfest, I still like the fact that they are trying something new almost every year for the past decade. You've got run of the mill racing, cop chases, tuner races, sport races - it's got everything.

nfs 3 is better
This looks fucking cool, everyone's just bandwagon hating because it has need for speed in the name.

Hey man I'd love to see where you pulled that out of! Oh I can guess, your ass.
I love EA Black Box, Most Wanted and Carbon were my favorite next-gen NFS titles. Undercover was a load, and The Run looks better but that demo video contained more Quick Time events than driving.

Not to mention it's stupidly over the top.

NFS 2 SE is where it's at :colbert:

Heavy Rain: Streetrace clusterfuck DLC

Yeah looks pretty raw I especially liked the part where you had about 2 mins of controllable gameplay and 8 of quicktime events
Looks extremly generic
I think that EA's E3 fottage was rather typical. AKA show the best bits. I'll be surprised if the actual game gets any better than the footage shown. shame really. its like most (note:MOST) of the games nowadays are all looks no substance.
Looks extremly generic
Especially with the qte's. And the helicopter chase. And the talking main character.
Because ALL racing games have that nowadays.
Especially with the qte's. And the helicopter chase. And the talking main character.

You know why they don't have those in racing games?
BECAUSE IT'S FUCKING STUPID.
Shit sorry I forgot a couple of minutes of pre-release gameplay accurately represents the final product.
Looks unbelievably shitty
The idea of having QTE's kinda makes sense for a racing game, I mean you can't make it just a bunch of lengthy cutscenes (or maybe you should so players can get a breather), but you can't make a it a shooter in between either.
Of course as soon as that chopper started shooting I thought ''this is shit''

That's a 3-5 story drop. Even with the tumble, his legs are going to be beyond broken.
