I miss it now, but i cant find the disk :sigh:
i remember playing that one game where you race around a giant track and try to find the NFS logo. right when it told me to go i went reverse while everyone drove off and the logo was right behind us and i won fastest game i ever played
http://www.needforspeed.com/therun/cars Car list is now available.
I've been a huge fan of the early NFS games, until Porsche Unleashed... after that, it went downhill :/
http://www.needforspeed.com/therun/cars Car list is now available.
Only 5 cars? [editline]20th June 2011[/editline]
NFS Porsche Unleashed is what i absolutely loved.
Only 5 cars?
I think the website just went up about 1-2 weeks ago.
New gameplay trailer.
Should be an on foot racing game
New gameplay trailer.
Well that's a shame. For the Frostbite engine I was expecting destruction and pretty graphics. What we have here is just another generic racing game with the same 'shades of grey' art style that we all know and are desperately tired of.
And where the fuck are all the civilian cars? I know it's in the middle of the desert, but it'd atleast make it a bit more challenging. Driving past pick-up trucks going at 50mp/h, while you come driving at like 170mp/h. Also, when the fuck will NFS cut the god damn NOS, it was fun in underground, but it only really fits in Burnout these days.

Honestly when I looked at that gameplay footage it looked exactly the same as the recent Hot Pursuit. What a fucking ripoff.
I want my Underground 2 tuning back :saddowns:
I want it back without the "Put eighty subwoofers and neon in your car or we won't let you enter this race." [editline]4th October 2011[/editline]
http://www.needforspeed.com/therun/cars Car list is now available.
Some interesting cars there (especially that 918 RSR, and the 240ZG), but it's still not enough to sell me on this, with so many other good racing games out. Especially since cars in NFS tend to all feel about the same.
Has anyone gotten NFS2SE working properly on Windows 7 64-bit? I managed to get everything but the framerate working perfectly... it's no fun racing at 10fps.
And another one.
Demo is out. I've seen it and the handling looks shit, gameplay is boring, AI tends to try to hinder your progress. [editline]20th October 2011[/editline] Also, I need to know what you guys think.
I find this extremely meh. It's not terrible, not good. Basically something I'll look over, but play if I have nothing else to do. (Granted that I actually have it available)
I hate how heartless main character is, in the trailer when one guy felt down from mountain and other guy drove away like not giving fuck.
I hate how heartless main character is, in the trailer when one guy felt down from mountain and other guy drove away like not giving fuck.
Racing is serious business.
Also, I need to know what you guys think.
It's terrible. Nothing in the demo was remotely good. Handling is bad, the 2 tracks were bad, the camera pissed me off zooming in and out depending on the speed/corners and it just looks horrible too. If this wasn't labelled NFS most would likely be calling it one of the worst racers of the last few years, because it is imo. I tried the demo without watching gameplay or knowing what to expect so just saying what I think from trying it.
fuckin' michael bay man
Looks very meh IMO. Seriously, NFS games went downhill lately, they just get worse all the time. They should stop making them.
Looks very meh IMO. Seriously, NFS games went downhill lately, they just get worse all the time. They should stop making them.
Indeed, a few month's ago i got NFS Shift 2 for free, and yet i felt like i was being ripped off.
The only thing that could make me interested in the game is if they got Jason Statham to voice the main character.
The only thing that could make me interested in the game is if they got Jason Statham to voice the main character.
Well that'd be a really dumb reason to buy a game.
This game looks an awful lot like Need for Speed: Most Wanted
For those of you who went to SEMA, you will find the GT500 Super Snake NFS Edition there. There.
What I would want from this is the handling and physics of Driver San Fransisco (maybe not the jump physics, I don't like how the car acts in the air, but it could be worse), as well as the range of cars available. Classics from the 60's, Mustangs, GTOs, Trans Ams, up to today's Lamborghinis, Ferraris and such. Although a smaller range than S:SF would still be cool, a large customisation feature would be great. Bodykits, spoilers, lights, bonnets, all that shit, but make it so it fits the car well, like in Midnight Club LA. I could buy a Gallardo in that, and then just have 2 different kinds of bodykit and spoiler that actually fit the car, and I wanted to buy. Whereas if I buy something like an S15, there are about 7 different bodykits and 5 different spoilers, because that's a realistic range of shit that you can buy. Basically: Driver SF physics, handling and car range with Midnight Club LA car customisation and the classic NFS races.
