Have you updated to the latest patch? If I recall correctly they added proper multi-threading in one of them, went from like 5fps with a gtx260 to about 40 on max settings

I recall there being some debate about which was better at first, but now the argument is more FSX or X-Plane.

Slamming your plane into a building is boring in Flight Sim and always has been, no one does it more than once

I love doing bush flights through Alaska. Only using dead reckoning or the few radio stations out there. Ill wait for Flight to come out and see how optimized or dumbed-down it is before paying Microsoft though.

Fuck i wish FSX was more optimized. Nothing beats a nice, quiet flight at dusk in a little piper cub above hawai'i. Just thinking of that gets me all... happy. And my FS2K4 disks are all scratched up :smith:

I've been trying to buy a joystick for two weeks now. They simply don't exist in my country, and importing them is ridiculously expensive.

Let's hope Microsoft hires some good fucking coders this time. goddamn fsx is so un-optimized, nothing can max it out. We should be judging PC's by how well they run FSX not Crysis or metro 2033.

When I was a child I dreamed of my computer being good enough to run FS95 I hated how half the FSX community would get extremely mad if you implied you were having fun with FSX, or called it a game instead of a simulator. IT'S A SERIOUS SIMULATION YOU'RE DOING IT ALL WRONG, STOP HAVING FUN.

Games for Windows Live. Global community. It's easier to watch an uncompressed Full HD stream without buffering with a morse code modem than making that "thing" actually work in that scale.
