Oh god really? I'm just disapointed about this because it begs the question... when will Obsidian make the next Fallout game?
Bethesda is making it
Fuck yeah [sp]probably going to be really bad though[/sp]
I hope it's like the Lord of the Rings episode and the fun with ninja weapons episode, if they do that it'll be absolutely fucking amazing :v: [editline]1st December 2011[/editline] I'm not the only one that loved Alpha Protocol?
greatest RPG/Shooter of 2009
Bethesda is making it
Please no.
Please no.
What's wrong with that?
I can't imagine this will end well. Sure, it may have a top tier developer and 2 phenomenal writers, but I just can't see it being anything more than some cheap game.
What's wrong with that?
dragons flying backwards all the dead bodies of kenny appearing simultaneously at social events
RIP The_Marine
This better be an expansion on the concept of Imagination-land.
What's wrong with that?
Let's just say I like good writing, good voice work, and a believable world.
Oh, okay then.
Let's just say I like good writing, good voice work, and a believable world.
If the next Fallout has elements from Skyrim then yeah, I'm sure it'll be a decent game.
I would give another Bethesda Fallout a chance. The writing of Skyrim ended up being relatively pretty good, especially when compared to Oblivion, so they seem to be willing to learn from past mistakes. Still, of all the things I thought Obsidian would make next, I really didn't expect this. Especially since South Park isn't really all that "big" of a show right now, it's just kinda there. As much as I think that they should work on more ambitious titles and that this has a high chance of failing miserably on all levels, I am admittedly quite interested to see where this goes.
Let's just say I like good writing, good voice work, and a believable world.
Skyrim covered the latter two, imo. Except for the voice actor for Whiterun's jester. Dear god in heaven he's a bad actor.
RIP The_Marine
uh what?
Even if it's shit or bad, It might be pretty hilarious
Made by Obsidian. Will most likely fail upon release, but it will be fun to play after the devs squash some bugs.
And Fallout NV and KOTR 2 suck now do they?
And Fallout NV and KOTR 2 suck now do they?
kotor 2 isn't even a finished game
kotor 2 isn't even a finished game
New Vegas?
New Vegas?
Did you try playing it when it was just released? Insanely fucking buggy. One second im stuck in a rock next im flying.
Being a huge fan of Obsidian and South Park, I'm really excited. There's a lot of things that could go wrong, but there's a slim chance this could end up being really good.
kotor 2 isn't even a finished game
and it still managed to be amazing
and it still managed to be amazing
True. Really the only game which was made by Obsidian which i disliked, atleast of the ones i have actually played, was NWN 2, which im not even entirely sure why i disliked, it just kind of felt really wrong.
NWN2 was fantastic once you got a few hours into it, it has really great story telling and unique quest lines.(I still remember that Stronghold quest where you can manage an entire keep from the supplies to the troops.)

And yet, the first NWN gave me so many of those beautiful all-nighters.
I like Obsidians games, they tend to have great stories.
Made by Obsidian.
What do you mean by fail upon release? hell New Vegas made more money then Fallout 3, so I don't think it failed, and in my experience New Vegas was less buggy then Fallout 3.
PC version did have a weird bug at the start of the game(when it was released). The head of some people spin around and go upside down. They claim it was bugged as hell without any patches. Although, it could have been from a different company that tested NV, not Obsidian.
Bethesda did all the testing.
Bethesda did all the testing.
you don't like bethesda, we've gathered that from the last 10,000,000 times you've said that
