Its still impossible to kill off France.
I kept winning regions and annihilating France's armies but they would just come back with death stacks and push me back, then I would push them back and so on.
They wouldn't accept my damn peace offers for Caux and Normandy even though I raped their military, took over Caux, Normandy, Their fucking capital Ile-de-France, but they wouldn't accept peace.
I like how in Eastern Tales you get the ability to create a Textile Manufactury at production 20 but it needs a workshop first which comes from production 22

Fucking brits moved across south america and their on Russia, When the port opens up it'll be 1556, I need to hurry. Only got 35 more years left and hopefully I'll block them off from getting onto the coast, If I can. I'll declare myself Portugal - Overlord of America's.

Actually, what is miscmod 70?
Nope, not like Victoria 2 sadly.
But it is hilarious, I love engaging the wars against Huron, Iroquois and Creek. When I arrived and contact Iroquois I slowly saw Huron engulf them, In which I unsuccessfully tried to take their lands (They took one of mine.) and Creek taking two.
I looked down at Creek and with a "Fuck You" I got a 10,000 Men at Arms army and took their lands, making peace with Huron who I engulfed 7 years later with the might of 5 10,000 armies.
This isn't the 16th century like I said before, It's only a 1475 (Now 1484).
Along with this, a in-game month later after I posted this map, Castille got annexed by England :v: although I might need to watch out for my allies since Aragon is pretty weak and ripe for the taking and I don't want any more land lost.
Also, I remember trying to convert Alabama, They converted a DAY after I sent the missionary :v:
Actually, colonial labeling was added in Divine Wind with the new Vicky 2/HoI3 style map.
Sweden went to war with Novgorod, so Murom went to war with Novgorod. So I went to war with Novgorod. So Kazan (I used to own Kazan but they rebelled back during a war with Nogai, now the bastards are left with random provinces in the Urals with Danish sounding names.) went to war with Novgorod. While I was shuffling through Sweden's occupied northern territories Kazan and Murom took half the country and I was left with Arkhangelsk, and the other huge one beside it. Useless. Then Sweden made peace taking the northern provinces leaving me to mop up their country, forcing them to form the nation of.. Something which took two of their core provinces including Novgorod itself.
Anyway, now their main country is 'European Novgorod' and I see a huge 'NOVGOROD' on the map stretching over roughly modern Kazakhstan. They keep getting fucked up by the ever expanding Nogai and no doubt some Eastern countries like Khiva.
Started playing this a while ago, and it's pretty fun. I really have nothing to complain about, beautifully executed game!
I guess I like it because the lack of a real goal though. I tend to like games like that

At the 1525th AD, Everything is working out lovely, The huron and creek areas in revolt stopped completely, In response to England colonizing Africa I fucking booted it and engulfed the south american coast so they can't get into my beloved America's!
I've started colonising near Mali (Pink Left Africa Nation) Who likes to go to war against me, Horribly dying in the process as I captured one of their provinces and made peace (I don't want to prolong a war in a vulnerable spot)
The funny thing is, is that there used to be English colonies next to mine in which they sort of vanished.
France is pissed at me since I sided with England (Hey, they suddenly hated me for no reason.)
I'll work on colonizing the America's more after I get back from school.
Along with this, Aragon is fighting the tide, Castille has suprisingly appeared (In Which I might just annex them for their sole use in forming Spain.) and that if I ever want to form Spain I'll need to attack France and England away from there.
Edit: Holy fuck look at Algiers.
I'd be more concerned about persia to be honest.
I'd be more concerned about persia to be honest.
Holy fuck I just noticed Persia.
Anyways I wouldn't mind them, All I really need to do is cut off their sea and they'll end up being fucked, Even though it's 1525 All the major powers are being established already, Soon I'll have to cut France and England away from Castille, Aragon and I. Or they'll end up killing me horribly.
It's going to suck having to defend that entire coastline from enemy attack especially if you ever go to war with the other major powers like the English.

Alright, I apologize but the screenshot was from 1475, not the 1490's, now it's 1500 AD!
[img_thumb]http://i699.photobucket.com/albums/vv353/keyblockor/EU3_MAP_POR_1500421_1.jpg[/img_thumb]
As you can see, Castille is gone entirely (Exactly a month after I told you guys Castille was fucked it was annexed by England.
My next best event was when Mali attacked me (Right Pink African continent.) for no reason, in which England and sweden came down and fuck them up entirely but I ended up just giving them a White peace.
I swallowed up Cherokee without a problem unlike the Huron and Creek (Fucking Bastards). I'll be choosing to expand more-so and try to see if I can also get the eastern coast of southern america so that european countries can't expand down, the best thing about this is that I already solidified North America.
As the turn of the century goes, it's mostly a sound experience with the occasional revolt (Put down by my men easily) in the Creek, Huron and Cherokee region, once those are off I'll be peaceful for a hundred years unless someone fucks with my america's.
If I were you I would get a province in South Africa ASAP so you can get a core and thus you could continue to colonize Asia and stuff, but don't forget about south America too, specifically Brazil, since this is now the most likely place your rivals will colonize (England and France).
Except for that there is also West Africa and the Congo but those are usually not very valuable.
Try to make the largest colonial empire the world as ever known, cover every coast of every continent with your colonies, leave no land uncolonized!
The only European nations that actually colonize are France, Portugal, Spain (which he killed off) and Britain so really he has no European competition of any sorts, yet.
Miscmod adds dynamic revolts and a few events like flipping african colonies back to african culture.

Not really.
I have the most costal provinces, I can task them to make Carracks a year, that means at least 30-50 carracks a year, Meaning I have the sea under my control.
Great. EU3 keeps crashing right at the moment it should get to the menu. Eastern Tales runs, but is buggy beyond belief (header_pagan and other such code leaking into event titles; the whole world, including my territory, being terra incognita; battles doing nothing, no morale changes, no soldiers dying etc.)
Ugh, reinstalling a third time.

Except your economy is going to tank. Not only does each big ship cost a TON, if you go over your naval supply limit, it'll be a huge upkeep.
Never, EVER, go over your naval supply.
Unless you are playing france ofcourse.
You just need to disband the army and spend the rest of the game never minting
Great. EU3 keeps crashing right at the moment it should get to the menu. The terra-incognita is resolved after you get the territory discovery events. Not sure about the battles/morale, but I do recall my soldiers not taking damage in a siege, but morale decreases, not sure if it's intended or a bug. Ignore the event titles, it only occurs in some events, but the rest are fine.
What do you mean that EU3 crashes anyways? Do you get any errors or anything? Where did you install it?
Well, when loading Eastern Tales with Theatrum Orbis Terrarum it crashes on startup (no error messages, just returns to desktop). Runs OK on Default, but has those bugs I mentioned. The terra incognita is definitely a bug, because all of MY OWN TERRITORY was terra incognita except for one province. The only other province I could see was my neighbours, 2 provinces away. Morale was bugged as well, because I was fighting some guys for over a year and not a single one of their or our men died, and morale didn't change at all either.
Vanilla HttT runs perfectly fine, but after running Eastern Tales (even once), it (HttT) crashes (silent crash to desktop) after all the pictures with "Loading xxx..." at the bottom. Well, it seems Eastern Tales keeps breaking my game.
Or maybe I did something wrong? I have everything in separate .exe installers (vanilla EUIII on CD, all the expansions in digital format). I first install vanilla EUIII, then Napoleons Ambition 1.0. Patch NA to 2.2. Install In Nomine 1.0. Patch it to 3.1.1. Install HttT. Patch that to 4.1b (I think, downloaded the patch from http://www.paradoxplaza.com/in-game/eu3/heir_1.exe Maybe it's a wrong version?). Last, I unpack Eastern Tales to /Europa Universalis III/.
Do not unpack Eastern Tales into EUIII, it's standalone so extract Eastern Tales to Desktop or Program Files, and run eu3game in the folder, and you should be all set.
Are you supposed to not be able to do anything with Japan? I tried to start a game as them, and it won't even give me the ability to initiate any actions with other countries. They're not just grayed out; they're not there.

I extracted it so that the filestructure was /Europa Universalis III/Eastern Tales/eu3game.exe , so it shouldn't have conflicted. Still, I'll try reinstalling and putting Eastern Tales somewhere else. Hopefully it won't conflict.

Pure white? Terra incognita?
Are you using Eastern Tales? If so, I had the exact same problem.

No, I'm sorry, I'm using Divine Wind. What I mean is, I start as them and I have the three other nations around me, on the same island chain. But when I click on them to initiate some action, there aren't any choices there.
-snip- resolved
I'm certain everyone here is up to date with the fact that 5.1 is now in open beta
