I generally don't go go on the Paradox forums except for HoI3 so I didn't know that. I swear to god if Paradox releases the patch before I can finish my Portugal game I am going to be super pissed.

Oh it's only for DW? Agh nevermind then.
Put it in a completely different directory. Same thing. Ah, I'll just use vanilla HttT. Don't seem to have any choice. Awesome game anywyays.
No, I'm sorry, I'm using Divine Wind. What I mean is, I start as them and I have the three other nations around me, on the same island chain. But when I click on them to initiate some action, there aren't any choices there.
not a bug. only the shogun can interact with other nations, daimyos can only interact with other daimyos.

Ah, alrighty, thanks.
Also, HURRAY! In my Vijay-jay game (I really can't remember what they're actually called, except it ends in 'nar') I've established the Hindustan! Hah ha, fuck you India, bow before my wrath!
So... being able to start at 5 AD with Eastern Tales begs the question... has anyone managed to survive until 2100 as Rome?

I got a bit carried away with rebels lol

That would be extremely impressive, I don't think the AI is capable of doing that as in the screenshot I posted before, they are CONSTANTLY under at least 30 sieges from rebellions. Although for some reason they have yet to fall apart, they've been in personal union with Israel and lost maybe 1/5th of their territories but they are still chugging along
Found the culprit. Patch 4.1 was the gamebreaker. Does Divine Wind have this patch integrated? If so, I'll just get that.
Aww, shit. As Castille, got high infamy (25) from fucking up Portugal and Aragon. Now I also have a very high monthly deficit (-20 ducats). I've taken out about 10 loans already :( I'd expand northeast, but that's impossible due to the infamy. Any tips?
Here's my situation with some basic info. Aragón put up a strong fight.

Start minting (treasury slider), lower maintinence for army and navy (military tab at the bottom, two sliders) and hire the advisors that reduce infamy (forgot what they're called), then just wait it out.

Start over and this time don't get so much infamy so quickly.
I'm certain everyone here is up to date with the fact that 5.1 is now in open beta
Except that you have to register to their site and all that crap.
That's the Piracy Prevention
You register the game on the forum so you can get mods and tech support.

This worked. Got myself back up running after a year.

Yeah always a good idea to register the game on the site or else everybody will suspect you pirated the game whenever you need help.
Would anyone be interested if I did a eastern tales or divine wind AAR on fp?
Would be interesting to follow as long as it doesn't die within the first week.
Would anyone be interested if I did a eastern tales or divine wind AAR on fp?
I would also be interested, I love reading them as long as they aren't too wordy and not too focused on it being a game
I kinda regret not doing one because mine has turned out really awesome so far and for my first real attempt at EU3! Maybe I'll just recap and start further down the line...
When your first game in HTTT ends with inheriting late game hyper-power france as Prussia is when you regretted not doing an AAR
That was a fun last 50 years by the way
Urgh. What are "uncontested claims"?
Hindustan (me) now owns all of southern India (thank GOD for the reconquest casus belli it gives you) but I'm at -100 renown and losing like 10 per year due to some silly thing. It's horrible because now almost all my forts fall as soon as someone gets to them
I'd almost literally have to change my national idea to Grand Army (or whatever gives you prestige from land battles) and conquer all of India just to get in the positives. Help?

Uncontested claims are caused by when you have a core in a territory that you don't own. To solve this, try to conquer the provinces that you have a core for, and hopefully the prestige loss will decrease.

Ouch. Alrighty, thanks.
Also, Rajputana is scaring the hell out of me. They're too big!
What would you all recommend This game or Victoria II?
What would you all recommend This game or Victoria II?
I would recommend this game, Victoria II felt a little repetitive after a while.

Starting a little AAR/LP on FP of eastern tales. I need votes for a time period so yeah go.
Is it just me, or does Eastern Tales seem kind of poorly made?
I mean, I certainly couldn't do any better, but when I played, it seemed extremely sloppy, and they didn't seem to try and balance out technology advancements and etc.
What would you all recommend This game or Victoria II?
EU3, I have Victoria II but it's not as interesting and in-depth as Europa personally.
Pls check my thread, I need votes on what country to play and when

My world map, at 1484. I'm Hindustan, the lime green country in India.
Portugal and Castille are getting closer and closer.
The times of flowers and wine are over, aren't they?

Ack, nevermind, problems uploading it, my mistake.
Any tips for a beginner? And maybe a good nation to start with?
