Can someone explain to me how to make the glitch that makes infinite blocks?
trying to find slime balls for a sticky piston but can't seem to find any slimes . Any tips?
Can someone explain to me how to make the glitch that makes infinite blocks?
I think it's been patched, it involved rapidly pushing away a block attached to a sticky piston, another block would be created and pushed away but leaving the initial block still attached to the sticky piston.
I'm having some trouble with a piston door opener thingy I made, if anyone who knows their shit can come on my server and help me that would be great! Here's the IP: 85.228.186.191:25565
Thanks Webby!
If anyone wants to you can join and build stuff and whatnot :D

Right now it's pretty pointless looking. Even if you found some you wouldn't have enough slime balls to make much. The only reasonable way I see right now is cheating.

Nope, it still works.
Redstone is so fucking kludgy.

Slimes are kinda rare, they only spawn in some areas of caves. You're better off just cheating to get the slime balls / sticky pistons.

I'm on a multiplayer sever, so i dunno if that is possible.
I hope they keep the block dupe glitch, I like making self-repairing stuff with them, much faster than the water+lava=cobblestone technique.
I just happened on replacing a lot of my wires with tracks and using detector rails to set them off. Lot more expensive but there are some really neat applications to doing it that way which you couldn't get in a normal circuit
can someone recommend me an inventory editor? I just want to experiment with pistons

Wafflepack. Texture pack I made myself, I can send it to you if you want.

This took a LONG time to make.

This took me four hours to make. I was trying to make it for about five hours though until i learned about the "Redstone Sequencer".
Wow! have i seriously not slept yet. its 8:00 AM :v:

If you put lava where the torches are in the wave generator you have a pretty good challenge that could go in a challenge map!

Use a button/make it turn off again after X seconds and make it only usable once

Redstone is a heavy pollutant. It produces a lot of carbon dioxide, so I put the trees in to soak it up.
It's a Zero-Emissions Door Controlling Sequencerâ„¢.
What bums me is that there's no way of making pistons retract more than 1 block. I would have liked to do a drawbridge, or one of those big castle doors.

I believe it's possible with a bit of clever use of the pistons, but the redstone circuitry behind it would be absolutely ridiculous.
Should've had some sort of "Super sticky piston" that could retract twelve blocks, much like pistons can push twelve blocks.
OK, this is my first time actually making anything with redstone, so it is a bit simple. If I could be bothered, I would probably make this a bit more complicated, but I spent longer than you'd think on this, due to building it too small, being dumb and not working it out, and a power cut causing Minecraft to delete the world. And then I built it too small again. But anyway, it's a simple trading station using pistons. My inspiration came from a video...of a trading station using the Piston mod. Sure, it was an un-original idea and the video of it I saw actually pulled it off better, but it was decent Redstone training. Anyway, pics:

This is the outside of it. Not very decorative. It's the same on the other side.

This is the inside. The glass wall is there to separate traders while still being able to see each other, while the glass roof is to let light in. The torches are there in case it turns to night whle you're trading, and your house is too far away. The wiring on the floor over there had to be there, otherwise it wouldn't work.

This is the wiring underneath. The simple stairases shown are the wiring from the levers to the AND gate, which then leads to this:

This is the staircase type thing that leads up to the Piston itself. Above the third block is a single slab, to let the redstone wiring up to the 4th block.
How it works is simple. You drop what you're trading in front of the Piston on your side and flick the lever. Once both levers are on, the Pistons extend, sending the items, well, under the glass, actually, but it's meant to send it to the other side, right next to the lever. But unfotunately, items pushed by Pistons have no momentum.
If I could work out a way to do it, I would try to make it so that, it's an AND gate, but once the output is on, it acts like an OR gate, where both inputs must be off for the output to be off, to stop people from scamming unattentive traders by sending the items through, then turning their levelr off and taking their own items back, thus effectively stealing the other players items. However, as far as I know, there is no way to make an AND gate become an OR gate when turned on, but still be an AND gate when off.
No idea what I'm going to make next. However, I'll try to make it more complicated than an AND gate and some trickery on getting redstone through a floor. :v:

How did you get that to work? I can only ever make something like that work if it's 1x1 or 2x1, but not longer for, let's say, a hallway.

-snip- too tired.
its mostly like this. then usualy a redstone sequencer.
if you don't know about a sequencer just search for a forum of it on here it will show up.

changes:
- made it a button instead of a lever
- made it so the trap can only be used once before having to be manually reset
problems:
- pistons now start retracted instead of extended

Edit:
nevermind about my problem now, just found out how to do it
Edit:
also does any have any idea for traps as my imagination seems to have disappeared
