well, not much to record, but meh :)
I'm getting tired of searching, where do i get a working noclip for smp? Yes it's my own building server.
Zombe's mods contains a flying mod which has a noclip mode I believe, have you tried that? [editline]8th July 2011[/editline]
No I mean like a button staying on after its pressed.
... Which is what he said.
No I mean like a button staying on after its pressed.
Use a memory latch.
No I mean like a button staying on after its pressed.
You need to be more specific or people are just going to waste your time helping you with something you don't even need. Remember when I said this?
Do you mean like a button turning something on / off?
Well you answered no, which would mean whatever you are talking about isn't a "toggle".
Toggle To alternate between two or more electronic, mechanical, or computer-related options, usually by the operation of a single switch or keystroke
aka a button which turns something on / off. If you just want a button which turns something on and it stays on forever, then you want a latch. If you want something where the button turns something on when its off and turns something off when its on (which you said no to and rated me dumb) then you want a flip flop.
-snip- I just wrote about how the pistons were fixed, they're not. great.
T Flip Flop. I hate making them
No I mean like a button staying on after its pressed.
So a latch.
:40 is Bravery bridge, 2:10 is hidden door. These were actually the first things I made using redstone, it took a while to understand how it works, but it was fun to make.
Whenever I try to make something with pistons. (not my picture)
Whenever I watch that .gif, I listen to this on background. Seriously.
Sliding floor with stair, plus combination lock I intended to make the combination lock use 8 levers, but i built it too close to surface and hit a beach :v:
I wish Notch didn't fix the piston duplication bug. I was making some really cool shit with that. :saddowns:
You hate notch because minecraft is so buggy and then you hate him because he fixes a bug
Might as well add my try on a piston light switch. By the way, has anyone used the mod for Minecraft which adds an option to resize your minecraft-window to 720p, for easy recording video in HD. I used it some time back, but forgot the name of the mod.
Now this is cool - extremely compact XOR gate I built the usual one once and it was pretty damn huge, 4 blocks high :|

Once too many items get's updated I'm going to make an animated redstone screen. Jallen, how did you get the rom onto screen? I'm a bit confused on how you did it, did you just take 4 blocks from each thing, then cycle the thing 4 times to get 4 more?

I hacked together a version where you don't need to rely on levers:
Fitting music, eh?
Fuck now I want to go watch that movie again.
Oh how I wish Sticky Pistons would pull the same amount of blocks they could push... Anybody have a way of making this concept of an elevator (or something similar) work to go back down? The method with the doors doesn't work anymore because the 1.7.3 update makes pistons break doors. Why did some of you faggots thumbs down the video? :suicide:
Fantastic. I hacked together a version where you don't need to rely on levers:
You ruined it

I've been making a looping scroll device. What it does is take the wall and push it sideways, then sticky-pistons grab the blocks that were just pushed and pulls them back, while on the other side the pistons push the next set of blocks forward and into view. [thumb]http://imgkk.com/i/j_he.png[/thumb] [thumb]http://imgkk.com/i/stpq.png[/thumb] [thumb]http://imgkk.com/i/bkcm.png[/thumb] This is just a small prototype. I'm going to make a slide-show minecraft-story with coloured wool on a much larger scale.
How the hell are people making elevators?
Okay I think people misunderstood what I asked. How do I make a button that STAYS ON UNTIL I PRESS IT AGAIN instead of turning itself off automatically.
Okay I think people misunderstood what I asked. How do I make a button that STAYS ON UNTIL I PRESS IT AGAIN instead of turning itself off automatically.
you need to make a toggler http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_bgBc3Ba4s
http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Lever ???
I'm not looking for a lever because it would require me to do two circuits for what I'm trying to build rather than just using one button. Yes I'm so dumb for trying to do something that isn't gonna be complicated by making multiple circuits rather than just using one.
i built a tower, but the important part, im building a big piston door with stairs that extend over the mote, as of now, the one wall is stuck in a repeating loop that causes the whole wall to slam open and close like 150 times b4 it stops, i'll try to record it later notch needs to make a simpler way to build redstone circits because its just dang hard to even fit it into a door, my summer castle with 2 pistons as the porticulis was tricky enough getting a piston on each floor to close shut, but larger stuff gets too large i'ma try to lure something in and then i'll take a screenshot, too bad dismemberment doesnt happen in minecraft
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1Ai59NFaMQ I made this a bit ago : D.
you need a T Flip Flop
