You should put a button or a lever in the middle to lower the pistons again, monsters can't activate them and it'd prevent sheep accidentally letting out any creepers you capture by standing on the pressure plate.
[editline]9th July 2011[/editline]
Also that way you could get out without having to place/destroy anything.
Did some quick hacking to turn my ROM into a 2x2 screen.
Also made an archery range, although it is a bit harder than Tobba's

Is there a way to make two levers work for one door/whatever, or lever + button? Such as a hidden floor being toggleable on the top and bottom.

I think you would use either an "OR" or an "AND" gate, but I'm not sure which one. I'm fairly certain that one of the gates here will be the correct one for your situation. I remember having to make something similar and the gate I used was in the OP of that thread.

XOR gate is the best to use for that.
Here is an estimated weeks worth of piston toying all in my house. I finished this a few days ago, but wasn't at a computer to record the video.

6x6, although it is possible to make a 4x4 one with exposed wire.
The same elevator was posted a few pages back by another user, I just adapted it for my house. It's fully modular as well.
ManningQB18, why the heck do you keep it dark in your house? I've never understood why anyone, even cheaters, would allow hostile mobs to spawn in their houses...
What's that? A fully working multiple users at the same time reverse manual travel plausible vanilla piston elevator that actually elevates instead of launches and uses and unnecessarily large amount of blocks even though you could probably raise for 2 by using a sticky piston and thus save on pistons but still you have to consider that sticky pistons are in reality a lot harder to make so if you have shitloads of pistons but no slimes this should be helpful for you and at the same time the wiring is overly complicated because it's a proof of concept made by a guy who only started doing any redstone wiring once pistons came out?
Surely you jest
You're not funny.

I just like the effect of turning the lights on. If it were a house in the real minecraft, I would either not implement adjustable lighting or leave it on at all times.
[editline]10th July 2011[/editline]
I should note that the elevator isn't as finnicky as it appears, I was just in the wrong spot

It isn't a hazard to you, of course. But unless either you either keep invisibility on all the time, build your house out of obsidian (or bedrock, you cheating cheater, you), or are just a darn good mob fighter(/avoider), it'll take quite a beating from Creepers...
He could just play on peaceful.

What code did you use to make that title?

Top secret.

The pressure pad was just put there because it felt cool to lower it by standing on it. I would probably have a button instead and then wire another button to the second toggler.

As i say in the video description on youtube, Etho style.
I just wanted everyone who doesn't subscribe to him to know this mobtrap. He's a freaking genius!

You can actually make a game with these if you don't put redstone under a few and try to get through the field without setting any off

Solution - run between the pressure pads.
Though you could set up the field with different paths or something which are walled off. That could work.
