LucidPack with Pistons? Is it part of the original LucidPack or a fan-made fix?
Fan update. Original guy disappeared forever. http://aura.devnetonline.net/lucidpack/
I don't even know where to start with this. Is there some compact way to sequence these? I'm hoping to put one every few blocks down a hallway.
Any of the item duplicating bugs still working? Really want to try out that TNT mine thing.

I'll get online and create a mock-up real quick. actually this is turning into a bit of a challenge. Odd.
Any of the item duplicating bugs still working? Really want to try out that TNT mine thing.
Nope, sorry.
I made "mojang" door, sans stairs (though I could add them) with no exposed wires/repeaters/torches
I've been trying to make one of those, but I can't seem to get it because first you need the side pistons to extend first then to retract it you need the back one to retract first. DO you know of any good video tuts?
You don't need to have some complex set up like that. All you need to do is delay the side pistons and not delay the back one at all. The back piston isn't powered until it gets extended by the side one, so it will always extend last when you turn it on and retract first when you turn it off. [editline]19th July 2011[/editline] Also my set up fits within a 10x7. So it's super compact with 0 visibility. I'm new to redstone/pistons so if u think my door is lame ~buzz off~

What? How is the top row of the back pistons powered?
figured out the block switcher thing, but it needs a separate on and off button, couldn't figure out a single switch method. Note; make sure the wiring for the side mechanisms is separate from the center, or else everything triggers at the same time and the switchers will just cancel each other out.

You do realize you guys can make it day time right?
Wait. What? How is the top row of the back pistons powered?
I don't know how the other people are doing the mojang doors, but it's essentially the same thing as on the bottom row. If you don't understand any of this, here's a picture:

What got me stuck when I first experimented with it, I couldn't activate the second action right and it would do all sorts of wonky things
I learned how to do it here. Although, the guy seems to have uploaded a tutorial.
His is really similar to mine but mine is nearly all above ground and not as compact. It also uses half blocks to cover part of it.

[editline]edit[/editline] nope, I'm way over-complicating things.

I wish I didn't suck with redstone wiring.
I don't understand how this does anything. I replicated it.
It switch between two blocks. You can make a lightning system witch switch between a lightstone and another block, same as your floor.
It switch between two blocks. You can make a lightning system witch switch between a lightstone and another block, same as your floor.
I understand its intention, but the machine doesn't work in practice unless I didn't replicate it right.
I understand its intention, but the machine doesn't work in practice unless I didn't replicate it right.
Reapeters must be at least at 3, I think.
they are
So I just messed around with the Mod Manager trying to get a mod that shows you whether or not slimes can spawn in a chunk to work, and somehow accidentally rolled MC back to 1.5_01. I never backed up 1.7.2... I was trying to verify whether or not a chunk I had excavated a cavern in could spawn slimes. I need slimes to get a sticky piston. I needed a sticky piston to complete my contraption thing and try that block duplication bug that only works in 1.7-1.7.2. Well, this sucks.
just dl too many items
just dl too many items
No thanks. I don't like Too Many Items. It defeats the point of mining and exploring for stuff. [editline]Just to sum it up.[/editline] Is there any (legal) way for me to re-acquire a Minecraft 1.7.2 .jar? [editline]Ugh...[/editline] Oh, what the heck. I found a download for the 1.7.2.jar on FileFront and downloaded it, but it's password-protected.
If you have the game legally then it should be no problem, just delete the version file and md5s file from %appdata%/.minecraft/bin
If you have the game legally then it should be no problem, just delete the version file and md5s file from %appdata%/.minecraft/bin
How will that get me back on 1.7.2, though? And yes, I did purchase MC from minecraft.net (back when it was on version 1.4).
I really can't wait to see an adventure map that uses pistons extensively. So many cool things you could do. That coupled with the adventure update itself will completely remake Minecraft.
How will that get me back on 1.7.2, though? And yes, I did purchase MC from minecraft.net (back when it was on version 1.4).
It will force Minecraft to update itself. Much like deleting the minecraft.jar file. Though since one of the updates, it only checks the md5s and version file, if you're actually missing the file but the md5s and version files are intact, it won't redownload.
