Just something I made for my underground house. I'll post screenshots of the entrance later. It's even cooler!

There is a way to effectively lock and unlock chests now
SP-W-WS-WS
--------CCCCC
SP= Sticky Piston
W= Wood
WS = Wooden Stairs
CCCCC = Double Chest
Face the wooden stairs facing away, the when you activate the piston it pushes the wood block over the chest stopping it from opening.
It works because stairs don't stop the chest from opening

Now I've also made light switches on 2 floors and a fountain.
How do you make the staircase work right? I can get the floor sliding in and out, but the stair case needs to be delayed when opening, yet first when closing. I'm getting quite frustrated with my own attempts.
Delay stairs on one state of the switch.
Delay floor on the other.

A few things I made to test what i can do with pistons. I'm pretty new to the whole redstone scene so its all fairly basic.
I made a trap which involves a lava pit and a false vault door. My friend died.

Compact gate.

Can only be triggered from one side you need to add some and gates to make it trigger both ways.
Infinite block with pistons, there's already a few videos on it but:

Another boring piston door
I wanted to make the most simplified "hidden door" as possible. And this is what I have.
I made a single wide door, and a double wide door as examples. The wiring is as compact as I could get it, and none of the wires, repeaters, or torches are sticking out into the hallway. I don't know a good video capturing program, so I'll just give you all a link to the world itself.

wot texture pack is that?
I'm thinking of like a chest hidden 2 blocks under floor. First you just see a wooden plank, press button, plank goes down and then sideways, chest goes sideways then up. Togglable.
BRB making extending penis.
How did the OP make a light switch?Can you turn torches on and off now or something?

So I've suceeded in making a hidden door, and i'm pretty proud of my accomplishment since I've never used Redstone before. It works fine from the outside, as show above, but I can't get it to work from the inside, as shown below. Help?
What's that? A fully working multiple users at the same time reverse manual travel plausible vanilla piston elevator that actually elevates instead of launches and uses and unnecessarily large amount of blocks even though you could probably raise for 2 by using a sticky piston and thus save on pistons but still you have to consider that sticky pistons are in reality a lot harder to make so if you have shitloads of pistons but no slimes this should be helpful for you and at the same time the wiring is overly complicated because it's a proof of concept made by a guy who only started doing any redstone wiring once pistons came out?
Surely you jest
I decided to redo this and condense it to a 4x4 area. Well,

I did it! Except that it's broken. It's got a weird glitch where pistons stay extended when unpowered and only start when not powered, and at some height the side pistons just stop working and everything's all backwards. WELL THAT MAKES A LOT OF SENSE
I have a hidden door and a staircase so far. I've planned out automated item disposals, too.
Is there any way to make a door which is 3 blocks high and 4 blocks wide? I've been trying for ages to get it to work.
wot texture pack is that?
It's Frenden's Cartoon texture pack.

used pistons to reveal a hidden torch.

not very complex yet they work, probably my first redstone contraption

Made a video of most of my piston stuff
I can see some awesome zombie forts coming from these pistons
So I decided to have a pop at some piston things even though I have never use redstone before.

Aint much but I'm proud of it.

Thanks, I'm a bit annoyed that lava flows so slowly. The water bridge thing is kinda pointless since you could just swim anyway. Hopefully Notch will add acid or some other faster flowing damaging liquid, but i doubt he will.

Finished my self building, self repairing bridge. It generates its own cobblestone, and pistons just push it down an assembly line. It's actually designed to be nice and compact, and minimal on redstone useage. It works pretty darn well.
Working on a turbo version for fun using the duplication bug

I made something like that on the same world as my video except it made walls aswell. It stopped working though because i messed up the timing on one of the walls and it didn't sync up properly, so i blew most of it up.
