also yes that is a latch
Yeah, I was fairly new to redstone when I made that. [editline]23rd July 2011[/editline]
There you go. [editline]23rd July 2011[/editline] Each time you press the button the pistons switch which side the block covers.
Really useful.
-Snip- Wasn't funny, apparently.
My cliche hidden bookcase vault in my study. From the inside and out no redstone is visible and it looks like a regular old house, but I made one wall four blocks thick to accommodate the circuitry. You have to press the button in the lower right of the first pic to reveal the torch and be quick enough to activate the torch before the glowstone covers it. That works too.
also yes that is a latch
Its a Monostable Circuit actually.
Or I could smash the glowstone. That works too.
Okay, go ahead and smash it. ??? Actually that's pretty useful, it's kind of a "break glass in case of emergency" thing, since my vault is a fallout shelter.
How to hide a switch anybody?
How to hide a switch anybody?
Put it behind a painting?
Put it behind a painting?
Painting pops off.
There you go. [editline]23rd July 2011[/editline] Each time you press the button the pistons switch which side the block covers.
Fuck yes, just what i needed :v:
Put it behind a painting?
How exactly do you do that? I can't figure it out, even if I mine one block behind a painting it'll pop off just like Tinter said. I tried all the sizes of paintings.
I just found out if you put signs behind them, they don't pop off.

What texturePack is that, looks nice
What texturePack is that, looks nice
HexenCraft. http://www.minecraftcustomizer.net/view.php?pack=evil_hexencraft I love it, I find that the gritty textures are inspiring. [editline]23rd July 2011[/editline]
I just found out if you put signs behind them, they don't pop off.
Ah yes! That works perfectly. You put the signs in the space where the air blocks are that make up your opening and then put the painting over it and Minecraft thinks those signs are like any other block. Thank you!
I made a Minecraft farming trap.
I have no idea what triggered the trap. but it gave me an idea, a trap hallway that you enter by standing on a button that opens a steel door to the hallway, and using repeaters to delay for a few seconds, the floor moves out to drop the player to its death (the key to it all being the delay)

You stepped on a pressure plate and kept going down a hallway, after a second or so the floor would open into lava. It was in the dark too, so you couldn't see the plate.
How to hide a switch anybody?
Behind a fireplace.
Behind a fireplace.
how to hide fireplace from house I made an entire wing of my house of stone just for a fireplace, and the wood part burned down anyways
how to hide fireplace from house I made an entire wing of my house of stone just for a fireplace, and the wood part burned down anyways
I burned down my house 3 times trying to make a fireplace
how to hide fireplace from house I made an entire wing of my house of stone just for a fireplace, and the wood part burned down anyways
Build your house out of wooden half blocks? they don't burn.
Building a 10x10 pixel screen with 3x3 piston pixels, at the moment it's 10x2 and has a programmable 9 frames of animaton
Building a 10x10 pixel screen with 3x3 piston pixels, at the moment it's 10x2 and has a programmable 9 frames of animaton
Put the pixels behind a sheet of water and a glass sheet infront of the water
Put the pixels behind a sheet of water and a glass sheet infront of the water
Doesn't work, if 2 vertical pixels are up and the bottom one goes down it won't fill with water.
There you go. [editline]23rd July 2011[/editline] Each time you press the button the pistons switch which side the block covers.
You just made a T-flip-flop use one fifth the space. I love you.
I'm trying a piston elevator, and I wired most of the pistons, so that when I activate a lever, they toggle and push the next piston up into an output, but the problem I'm having is that when I toggle it again, the pistons all retract and dont stick, so theyre left floating there, any help?
